Do exactly the same thing. The bot type changed, but that doesnt mean the fundamentals of bots did.

The side extenders are rather pointless, just seems odd to me. The back is held on by one extender which simply is not IRL, so this is now DSL-s with a artbot shoved into the mix. The back flipper makers not being connected is slightly oddas well. But altogether, i kind of like it. The spikes on the hammer look off though, but oh well.

He already made a invertible rammer before. Its not truly a hard concept: Make larger wheels, perhaps raise the motors to allow for lower ground clearance as well as the large wheels, lower chassis height to have the mini wheels etc.

Try using two seperate hinges for the wedges.
Supposedly it should improve wedginess.

And also make your bot the minimum height so you can be invertible. Put the slider to the top of the bar, then click at the very bottom.

the name should be ogreweight
seconded
No.
All your hopes are destroyed and its all ogre now.
But yeah, no. Unless you want UOW to be Overweight, and you can call it Ogreweight.

it easily outwedges them, ill fix the spikes and naryar its a wammer so i dont think it needs to be invertible.
So what, if you flip over your gonna just be immobilised?
NO. YOU NEED INVERTIBILITY ON A RAMMER, AND ON A WAMMER. DO IT.

Gaps in the bars for the HW are odd. Otherwise pretty good.
SHW looks like something Mazakari did recently.
I love the MW, Looks awesome. However Aluminium is terrible. NEVER, EVER use it. Im not sure on the specifics but its got a bad Weight to Strength ratio.Always go for Tit 3 at least for mw, BUT I think other builders would know better on that part.
I see what you mean with the gaps on the HW, I'll see to it. Yeah, I pretty much cloned Mazakari's bot, except this one is in DSL2 whilst I believe his was DSL3. As for the armour thing, after I'm building a bot I'll add the armour, so it's just whatever is closest to weight limit.
If he doesn't have anything better to use the weight on then there isn't a reason not for them.
^that

Yeah, the Alu armour will do, but when it comes to efficiency its kind of arse. Better than nothing, though. If its the strongest you can fit on, its a good job.

The top spikes are shorter than the lower ones, meaning they wont hit the bot. If you remove them, you may be able to get longer ones or some front armor.

EDIT: Only just saw the front armor you have. Still, looks like it slightly blocks the wedge. Does it? Or does it easily outwedge bots?

Poll is up. I do think that UOW could use a better name. Maybe just Überweight, seeing as Over can be translated to Über? (Google Translate has 15 different translations, so if Thyrus can confirm, that would be great.)

LW:125
MW:200
HW:400
SHW:600
UHW:800
GHW:1200

it breaks the "stock = ironforge x2" weight limit rule at higher classes, but anyways the 5000/10000 weight classes are a bit dumb in stock. there should be a 2500 kg weight class because everytime I build a DSL UHW I stop at 2500 and then you only try to add random components to go up to 5000. Ever wonder why half of the Clash of the Titans entries were multibots ?

Fully agree with this. Will re make the poll putting this in.

Also, Should we bother with cruiserweight or should we permenantly kill it? It might actually fit in now, seeing as i sometimes hit over MW. Might be good.
So the list now would be:

AW - 70kg
BW - 90kg
LW - 125kg
MW - 200kg
HW  - 400kg
SHW - 600kg
UHW - 800kg
GHW - 1200kg
And possibly
CW - 300kg
TW (Titanweight) - 2500kg
UOW (Über Öber Weight) Limitless.

Removing poll, replacing with new. This is so you can actually change your vote.

Should UOW just be Uberweight?

Is the HW supposed to be BEAR or something different?

Either way, it looks good along with the AW.

i like the sound of that, making a hybrid but i think a Wammer+thwacker hybrid would be fun (i love static weaponry and i dont know why i might be addicted plzhalpme)

Discussion / Ironforge UHW Weight Limit: 800kg or 2500kg?
« on: August 07, 2015, 12:56:03 PM »
Seeing as Hero Of War's showcase was headed towards derailing, I decided to make a discussion thread. The logical conclusion for Ironforge UHW is 2500kg, but could it be 800KG? Much easier to make. However, seeing as SHW is 600kg, why not have a new weightclass for 800kg instead of UHW? While this would mean you would need a antiballast if you wanted to attach ballasts to one, you could just make one. Hell, I will get on with one once we pick a name for this.

I suppose. I was suggesting he see if he could find some better armor, but anything is better than nothing.

Lifters dont work in RA2 without special burst motors, or just making a flipper.
Side hammers work well for hybrids as well, so mix that with a Axe/Hammer. Make sure to have synergy if you go for a hybrid. No point in having a Flipper next to a Horizontal Spinner, because the HS will hit away the bots
before you flip them. A flamer/side-hammer/Rammer could potentially work, if the rammer acted as a pushbot.
And Naryar loves hybrids. Just go to his showcases.

heh, tit.
Try to keep on topic, Ecolusian.
Also, made a horrible error. This is the tier list of armours for DSL.
Top is best, Bottom is worst.

Also, chassis armor choices are not all equal. In DSL 2.1, Armors can be classified by their strength/weight ratio. In order of quality, the armors are:
-Pl3,Ti10,Ti5,Ti1 (all the best armors you can have, all are equal)
-St5, Pl5, Pl10 (good choices)
-Ti3,Pl1,Al3, St10 (average to bad)
-St3, St1, Al1, Al5, Al10 (all just plain bad. Avoid)
-DSA (Awful choice, why are you even using this in DSL) (The equivalent of playing Pichu blindfolded in Super Smash Bros.)

As you can see, Titanium is overall the best choice, then Plastic, then Steel, then Aluminium which in in overall the worst choice.

In general Steel 5 is the highest armor you should use. Unless in very particular cases anything more is better used on drive or weapons. Remember : Armor doesn't make you win battles, drive and weapons do.

So yeah, Tit 5 would be good. Just see what you can fit on if you fiddle with the weight.
Alu 5 isnt amazing.

actually, ironforge UHW would be 2500 kg.

Or maybe we should set ironforge UHW to 800 ? or new 800kg ironforge weightclass ?
The latter, in my opinion. Megaweight?
