Those long, heavy bars are dumb. You should find a way to get some wedges, axle skirts would work.

Nicely built. Looking forward to how well you can build with either just stock or just DSL.

You should look around to get familiar with common knowledge things first, like glitches. And strategies.

it would be beter with Ztek Drive and HP Weapons.

And you did not need to use 2 angle connectors on each side where plows are mounted.

Space is wasted.

New and updated bracket is up on the first page.

I gave everyone an extra day to build, so you have until May 26th at 8:00 p.m.

Can an admin add this tournament to the list of tournaments on the home page?

*1. Impending Doom – Scrap Daddy

Analysis: For a long time, I have had a lot of faith in Scrap Daddy. I’ve seen him edge closer and closer to becoming a great builder. Well, this solidifies it. He was asked to build a bot in minimal time, and he adjusted and produced a beast in the clutch. Impending Doom is the middle weight counterpart of Rabid Pit Bull, beats everything but most HSers. This is no doubt a Starcore caliber bot. Scrap Daddy is a scary builder, and could run away with this tournament if the other #1 seeds don’t adjust.

*2. Sarcastic Demeanor 3 – Naryar

Analysis: An almost flawless bot. Sarcastic Demeanor 3 has avery good wedge, great weapon setup, well built, well balanced, fast enough, and quick enough. There really isn’t much to say, Nary is a top of the line builder, we all know that now. This is no doubt awarded by me to be a Starcore caliber bot.

3. Wedge No More – R1885

Analysis:  Close to as surprising as JoeBlo’s entry. Does R1885 belong as a top builder? This bot beat out almost everything, and looked good doing so. Just watch his video from Round One! The long wedge, wide wheels, speed, agility; this bot has basically all it needs. However, the reason I do not believe R1885 is a top 5 builder is because he still didn’t do a lot of things right. This bot is not invertible, and not good at high speed collision with similar bots, possibly because its weight isn’t very evenly distributed. With that said, this was a very impressive bot from R1885, and with a few minor tweaks, could be Starcore caliber.

4. Murken – 40757

Analysis: This bot did better than I expected, but was not a huge surprise. This bot does surprisingly well against higher caliber bots in this tournament. With that said, either it’s wheelbase is too great, or I did something wrong AIing it, because it oversteers. It would be better with a little longer wedge, and wider weapon motors. However, this is a great showing by 40757, proving he belongs.

5. Baby Bull – Sage

Analysis: This bot is proof that one design flaw affects overall performance. The weapons disks were angled too much, allowing more powerful, more durable weapons to grab them, and ease the process of getting under. The wedges also, were very average. That saying, this was still a good bot, and beats ¾ of the field. It looks like a Starcore caliber bot, but is not. Is Sage better represented as a two seed caliber builder? I think not.

6. Hypno Blender – Joe Blo

Analysis: I believe this bot, by far, performed the most surprisingly out of any bot in this tournament. This manhandled even bots with wedges, and was the best of the ones without wedges. This bot was slow and very stable. It had strong durable weapons, and somehow managed to lift many bots. The only thing I would way about this bot would be that valuable weight was waisted on Iron Spike supports where an extender would suffice, and the gay N12s. Very impressed with JoeBlo’s submission.

7. Minesweeper – Somestrangeguy

Analysis: A slightly – rather greatly – improved Minesweeper looked pretty sexy on the dancefloor. Imagine this thing with one lone wedge…However, this bot did really well the way I see it. It performed the way it needed to, and was certainly enough to get it into the next round. The only downside is that it did not benefit from being slower and more controlled than other bots, as Hypno Blender.

8. Crazy 8’s – Mike NCR

Analysis: Out of the three good non-wedge FS’s, MikeNCR’s is the worst. It looks good, but it kills itself more than almost anyone else. It’s fast, and does get under things, but it doesn’t trap well and likes to sit dangerous bots right on top of it. It’s unstable, and rather havoky. It wasn’t a bad submission, however.

9. O.A.J. – Main Menu

Analysis: Considering this bot was built by Main Menu, it was not that bad. Given that, it was not that good either, but at least it was an effort. Given that, this thing could have been built better with minor tweaks. Its wedge was too inconsistent. Also, it was not invertible and had no working srimech. Is this showing that man manu’s career is going up?

10. Extended Warranty – Somebody

Analysis: A better entry from Somebody, but just not there yet. Its wedges were poor, and frankly just did not KO many bots. It was way too slow to take control of matches as well. And when it was inverted, it was funny to watch it srimech into fetal position.

11. No Rear Entry – System32

Analysis: If it weren’t for the irons on its weapon system, this would not be this high. By far, this was the worst wedge in the tournament. It was better than other wedged bots simply because its weapons were better. I’m kind of confused about this bots setup, because it is set up to fail.

12. The Parasite – R0B0SH4RK

Analysis: Tremendous disappointment. The Parasite made quick victims of its prey, but the problem was that it was the prey more than it was the predator.  It’s wedge width was way to great for Middleweight competition, and liked to tip over backwards a lot. The middle of the bot was left wide open because the thing doesn’t trap, juggle, or maul. R0B0 got lucky, and needs to build like I know he can.

13. Relapse 2 Sequential Rhythm – Craaig

Analysis: Well, not entirely bad. A pretty good entry from what I have seen from Craaig. The downside to this bot is that it was awful navigating. It had no quickness or lateral movement…OK maybe I sound too much like an NFL scout…this thing was too slow in circles. Also, wedge SUCKED. Like No Rear Entry, failed hard with a sucky wedge.

14. Face Roller 2 – Oggie

Analysis: I think this was just the wrong entry Oggie submitted. He built other relatively good FS’s in his showcase, and should have submitted one of those. He crammed a lot of parts on Face Roller 2, but it is way to compact to be any effective. It is also very unbalanced, because its wheels do not keep the bot even to the ground. Oggie is a promising young builder, just a poor showing.

15. Teethgrinder – Jack Daniel

Analysis: It doesn’t look like a particularly bad bot, but it is. It looks decent in the bot lab, but just doesn’t perform. Teethgrinder is too damn slow to be any effective. It’s way too compact to be a FS as well. Its wedge is offcenter, and not wedgy at all.

16. Im Dead Arnt I – Whammet Nuht

Analysis: Well. Not much to say here, but Whammet’s entry was pretty dead. A hulking, slow, weakly weaponed bot is to blame. The thing really doesn’t see the light of day against anything. I thought Whammett would have done better in terms of building something effective.

*Denotes Starcore quality bots

No, this bracket runs, then the next bot type has to be built.

False, next round is a different type of bot.

I will have the rankings up VERY shortly, with analysis.

Both havok explosions were caused by Hypno Blender.

I wasn't sure at first which bot caused the havok, but after numerous tests with other bots in ehxhibition matches, Hypno Blender caused similar explosions when also losing external Zteks/HP Zteks. Crazy 8's also had similar issues.

Rankings and analysis up later for y'all.
