Aha, yeah. Don't remember if  the 20cm extenders were used then like they are now. I certainly didn't, anyway.

That's not true, really not at all. Maybe it just seems like it for someone like you who prioritizes in DSL.

I'm with Reier. Don't see stock HSs getting any different then that setup, without AAM.

Well.. I found these on my G: drive. Old bots as posted on Technex's Forums, throughout 2006.
 There might be some more.

Maybe a first popup attempt. It sucks.

Definitely one of my first VS. It sucks.

B-TEEESSST

My entry sucks.

I have the blank template for my entries' use, too.

General Support / RA2 Download manager not working for me.

Well, yeah.. it's legal. But with half of the members offering a free, fully patched and ready to go copy of the game in public sight (Atari doesn't exactly care about RA2 anymore) it'd be pointless to actually buy it.

I'd like to see an AI that makes the bot attack from behind instead of just charge like a retarded suicidal robot.

That'd be complex... or so I think :| Is there a function or way to detect which direction the targeted opponent is facing? That's the foundation of a dodge and backstab AI.

Then you'd need trial and error and a bit of luck to create a control output that swerves around bots of many sizes,  not getting too close to be blindsided, but not being too far away to avoid it being a waste of time. That's without taking both bot's speed, movement AND turning-wise into account.

How would it detect a wall too, when the conditions are met, but the target is backed into a corner?

It's probably all wrong.. but eh.

Rammer.py always does that. (Pusher as well)

I believe I'll be looking into PY files a little then...

Whoa.. the 1 minute matches took me by surprise too.

Thought I had that even so (Qualified atleast, but still, a full win would of been good). WBWAPS didn't show that much control though, a possible AIing fault. When it wasn't flying from it's too-fast drive, it seemed to be attacking with it's rear end, which is.. well, you can tell  it isn't a good idea.

Oh well. Should of AIed it myself.

I just dont see why people care so about Crawlers, Flails, Controlled Movement, etc

Now, I'm with you in that you should be able to use that bot (This is a pretty much fun tourney)

But controlled movement is pretty much a foundation of robotic combat, isn't it? We don't see spinners like that on TV or events, because they're impractical and a safety hazard.

Hm.. more spinners then rammers? That was unexpected. Thought it'd be mostly rammers.

Oh well. The first match should be alright.. worried about spinners though. Well, ofcourse not ChewCube.

Most N00bish bot: Gold Scorpion.     What exactly was it's weapon again?
Favourite Bot: Cheez-It Box of Doom.     What can I say that the name doesn't?
Most Original: Suckerpunch.     Who didn't see that coming..

I found it kinda sad that most matches don't have the third round. It's just lazy and stupid all the way.

That's just time efficiency. Unlike BBEANS where there is KO/TKO tracking, Doomed Bots has no reason for a 3rd round if a bot has already won the 1st and 2nd. Why play a 3rd round if there's no possible benefit?

It's not gone completely, they just have a somewhat unconventional way of dealing with copyrighted songs... they make it so that only people in the US can listen.

Wait.. so.. only US Youtube users can listen to copyrighted songs?

When the others get their sound muted and videos blocked?

No honestly all these pokers with 10 pistons are so ripoffs.

Perhaps a little too powerful for NW as well?

Fail attempts and solutions.

Can't you see the disc only has 3 blades? Postioned in a triangle like a tri-bar. Except on a disk.

That'd require some proper GMF modifications.

Amazing...

How could I make the flamethrowers in the DSL Robot wars arena/claw top arena more dangerous? They take ages to burn down a bot.....

Hazards.py in the Arenas folder. These are the python files for the hazards ofcourse.
Code: [Select]
plus.damage(compinfo[0], compinfo[1], 40, (compinfo[2], compinfo[3], compinfo
Find Flame and look for that.

Electricity is also in there.

Might be because the output decreases proportionally to the remaining electotal ?

Statement doesn't mean so much by itself. Or I'm thinking too openly about it.

If all batteries were additive towards a total power value, my post and statement challenge wouldn't exist, for the two packs would of worked.

If you meant separate batteries, which seems to be the most logical option overall and in your own statement  - also makes the system interestingly deep, for as you know they could of just made the batteries add up to one grand total and be done with it.

I believe they have to come from the same source, but are additive. The battery with no power has nothing to output (making it's BEMIOR useless), and the battery with the huge amount of power cant output it because it has no BEMIOR. But if they both have some of each then they are additive.

Yeah, that's how I figured. Kinda. Either way you explained better then I would.
