It's not so much the HP that plows are used for, but the fracture. Once the HP has been depletd, it takes a 2,000 point hit to knock off a Heavy Plow, which is difficult for anything other than a really strongly built rammer to do consistently. But if you stick it on the midpoint of the DSL bar, that's a lot of weight used on the bar that goes past the AP and isn't doing anything, other than being a target. I'd try and seperate the DSL bar into a 20x40 on the end, holding the plow on, and a longer bar behind it to attach it to the DSL disc, or whatever you're deciding to use to attach the extenders.
but haven't you said somewhere that plows don't really work as stabilizers?

when making the chassis, instead of slamming the height cursor to the lowest point, click the lowest-most part of the height cursor. That'll give you a chassis lower than you normally get(beware though, you can't use the half tite sheets center AP).

I'm in and entering the new and improved Alien Warrior II, though just put me on whatever team has less people.
I'll also need my bot AI'd, and if you can, please AI it so that it will occasionally sit and spin for a second or so when near an opponent - it actually boosts the power of the weapon a bit.

What you need is FBS.py. this py lets you SnS while moving at the same time(Melty-Brain).It's on NAR AI.

1 question though, does your game where you held RIP3 has the Narmor-Be-Gone fix(patch)?

Ewewewew that vs. Why the MASSIVE discs in the stabilisers, when you could use a few flipper segments/hex plates? Also that disc protecting the motor is only protecting part of the motor, if any popup comes at that, they'll find a way to hit it. Also steel skirts?
Changes you could make after reducing weight... protect back motors, improve armour, use DSL bars not steel skirts for stabilisers, maybe put plows on the midpoints of them to beef them up. And if you really want, improve the beaters, I guess.
1.the motor is npc normals. 2.before this, i've used a 20X120 cm DSL bar, but they only have 5000HP, while the steel skirt have 7k HP. 3.the beaters are the big ones, so they are at max.

4 plows? Now if that isn't slightly OTT...
And if you're so worried about the skirt hinge's springyness, just make the plows static and axle load the wedges on.
The VS is...messy. The weapon is fine, but the rest...so much wasted weight.
1.whats OTT? 2.why is the VS messy?

SO MUCH wedgelock potential on your popup.
And it's not a good thing.
yeah, i still can't get the formula to lower the 4 plows without ruining the wedge or having the opponents wedge to get stuck between my plows and my wedge(there's this one time when shogun gets stuck on my plows because a combo between his own speed and the springy properties of the skirt hinge)

I've never entered in a tourney before, do the bots have to be AI'd? Or will we actually control them ourselves? If we control them ourselves, gimme a bit to link you to my bot, I think it's time I broke it in :D
AIed, and if you can't AI(or if the game in some magical way doesn't let you) he'll AI it for you.

I actually moved the srimech to where it is now facing towards the back of the bot, and flips it back onto it's wheels much more reliably than that sideways arrangement I had it in. I would use a Perm 160 (I'd have to use an 80, actually) but I can't figure out how to get it to incline like I have the E-tek doing. The Matilda teeth I have on it do a fair bit of damage so I'll keep them, and they're light (not all that strong though)
Another thing, I can't get the Flipper segments to face the right way. When I attach them to a baseplate anchor, extender or sometimes even to each other, they face to the side, most of the time it's to the left. The only way I get them to face forward is if I do the 60/30 thing or whatever it is where one side is wedged, and even then it gives me a pointless inclination. Halp?
you mean have the axle raised approx 45 degrees into the air? then use the 2nd or 4th Attachment Point(the ones that are angled)

So wait a minute. This is about people getting their own little wiki pages?
Could someone please explain? I'm a little confused.
basically if you ask for a wiki page and you're *notable enough* (<---this is important) i will make one for you
Notable... that means you've done something great right?
it means that you actually contribute to the site by building/entering tourneys/etc
so why then i still don't have a wiki page even though i already entered RIW3?.....
thats one tourney also you should probably be here for at least a few months and implement yourself into the community/become well-known before a wiki page is made
of course that doesnt stop you from making your own
as if i can, i don't even have a wiki account.
