Joe, I sent my bot in yesterday but I don't see it on your list. Did you get it and if you have, were there any problems?

Discussion / Re: What is your signature robot?« on: January 08, 2010, 06:34:31 PM »
I hate to kill some buzz, but very few people here have "signature" bots. You can't really say what your own signature bot is either, as it is something that others associate with you. For example, when I say "Naryar" people think "HazCon." "InfiniteInertia" is "AC." "SSG" is "Minesweeper."
Some great builders don't really have "signature" bots either. Take Pwnator for instance. He's a great builder, but he really dosen't have one bot that stands out in my mind above all others. Basically, you can't really choose your own signature bot. Other people choose it for you. EDIT: Bawwwww... Clickbeetle beat me to the punch. 1043

I hate flamethrowers. They're pretty much lag-throwers online.

I won one of the 1st BOTM's - back before you were around. So, I'm a two-time winner.
Also, ![]() Thanks for the votes, and all of the guesses of it being built by Click. Having my building mistaken for his is a compliment xD 1047

Some "Christmas tickets" (money), some random things (like a mouse pad and a couple of hockey-related knick-knacks) and three games for my Xbox 360.
My personal favourite today though: the red ring of death. Yeah, my faithful Xbox died on Christmas morning. Hooray for boxing day sales. 1048

I had wondered why someone who might have been 9 knew the word "halitosis." That should've been the first tip-off.

I made a VS called Antimatter for Ian's All Around Bot Builder Championship back on the old forums >.>
Looks good though. I'm liking the increased use of hex plates lately. 1050

I'm off until mid-January now, so today's the first day in a long time that I'll actually have the chance to sit down and hammer some stuff out. I have a LW, MW, and HW done and I'll try to get the other three done today as well.

Tournament Archives / Re: US vs. everyone else tournament idea.« on: December 18, 2009, 01:50:25 AM »
Personally, I've been toying with an idea like this for a while now.
My plan was to have Team USA against Team World, with members being selected by a designated "captain" that the host would choose for each side. The captains would then invite four other builders to be on the team. Every person would build a bot of the same weight class, and the robots would face off in a round-robin style format, with each bot from one team fighting each bot on the other team once in a best of 3 match. Robots would be awarded points as a result of these battles, 0 for a loss, 1 for a WBP, 2 for a TKO, and 3 for a KO. The robots with the most points on each team would then face off in a best of 5 grand final. I would host it if I had the time, but sadly, I do not. I would love to see a kind of "All-Star" tourney like this though, and I would jump at the chance to participate. 1052

I'm trying to get my stuff ready, but I'm in the middle of mid-terms. I have most of the bots basically complete. It's just tweaking, naming, and skinning to do.

Ounce, if it helps you get over your chronic emo-ism, you might be my favourite DSL builder on the forums right now.
Also, Reier, welcome to my world :D 1058
Stock Showcases / Re: Tritons stock showcase« on: December 05, 2009, 03:50:25 PM »On the popup, you should put baseplate anchors where that spike strip Snapper is now and use those to attach the R4 "ears" (I'm assuming that's what you're trying to do). Personally, I think "antennae" is a more accurate term. For the bot, rotate the snappers 180 degrees and clean up the extender work on the wedges. Also, remove the inner casters, as they don't seem to be doing much. Good job with the axle loading on the wheels though. 1060
