Wait... You spent real money to play a Facebook game?

Hate to tell you, but you got played.

1. Are you looking to purchase a new gaming console in the next year? Not a brand new one.
2. Do you typically purchase gaming consoles from a store or online? Store
3. Do you consider yourself loyal to a certain brand? If Yes, which brand are you loyal to? Sony is my preference, but I'm not completely loyal to any brand.
4. Do online reviews affect your purchasing decisions for consoles? Moderately.
5. Do advertisements affect your purchasing decisions for consoles? Not really.

6. How does the price factor into your decision to purchase a new Console?  1-5

5

7. When a new console is released to the market, there are "Launch" games that are available at that time. How important is this to you?  1-5

2

8. How important is the availability of certain "franchises" with your console purchase? (eg: Halo with X-Box, Mario with Nintendo, Gran Turismo with Sony, etc.)  1-5

2

9. When it comes to consoles, how important is it that you have the latest technology?  1-5

2

10. When it comes to consoles, how important is it that you have the oldest technology? (retro-gaming) 1-5

In newer consoles, price is the main factor. In older consoles (i.e. Dreamcast and before), availability of games and price are equally important.

Very high quality thrash/rock music channel. My primary source of Metallica.

This was real high quality stuff.
Metallica doesn't have that many albums. Just go and buy them. You can get used copies for next to nothing.

This man speaks the truth.

AC/DC on the other hand... The have about a thousand albums and most used media stores think they're still worth new prices.

Oh, good, I'm glad you brought this back to life, because I'm currently having an angry moment, right now. ****ing YouTube and them STILL... STILL asking me about changing my ****ing username.

This is also very truthful.

As much as I disliked the guy, he was still a big part of the robotics community. Definitely saddening to hear this.

Off-Topic Discussion / Re: Project Trinity
« on: October 15, 2013, 07:28:11 AM »
While Project Trinity may be at a standstill, I found a 3 wheeler on Craigslist last friday that caught my eye.

Gave $250 for this one. It's a Kawasaki KLT 250. It needed a battery and there's a slow leak in two tires, but nothing that is too much trouble. The guy I bought it from had it running when I went to get it, but once I bought it, put a new battery in it and tried to start it myself, the spark plug fouled. Still not a big issue. Likely just caused by bad fuel in the tank. Already have a new plug to go in it. Just need to drain the fuel and put new in.

I don't know it's name, but it's safe to say Sparkey is the builder.

Tournament Archives / Re: Tournament Rule Change Discussion
« on: October 10, 2013, 08:53:55 AM »
I think there should be a rule stating that you cannot run a display tournament if you're already working on an official tournament. I've seen tournament hosts running display tournaments when they should be focusing on their official tournament.

Same goes with stuff in the Other Games section, but I don't know how you ciuld regulate that type of thing. I don't know how many times I've seen Badnik (just an example) running tournaments, mods, AI packs and crap in Other Games all at once. I just feel that things would get in the way of each other.

Putting this here cause this thread gets more traffic than the YTP thread.

Amazing stuff. Best YTP since those battlebots ones someone put up.

Yeah but you masturbate to Battlebots. Your opinion doesn't count.

DSL TC Showcases / Re: Lemonism's DSL Showcase
« on: October 07, 2013, 10:03:08 PM »
You can do a MW juggler/drum hybrid, and even with MW and such an hybrid you can manage to be above average by DSL-S standards... just use less weapon weight in general. Change these discs to 4kg hexplates as well. I would just use 1 drum part, not 2.

Your wedge is pretty bad, mostly the upper one.

Hmm, I don't think the DSL-S regulars would appreciate that. The Beater bars are mounted sideways on the disc, the asymmetrical design of the front skirt doesn't look aesthetically pleasing

Aesthetics and DSL Standard do not go together.

hurr the world is black and white durr

The fact that DSL-S cares more about effectiveness than aesthetics doesn't mean it doesn't care at all about the second one.

actually a very good DSL-S bot should be very cool looking... simply when you build DSL-S, you certainly don't put crap on your bot JUST because it looks good.

the asymmetrical design of the front skirt doesn't look aesthetically pleasing

We don't care. In DSL-S we care more about efficiency than looks. Yes it looks bad, but the main point it that it is a very sloppy wedge.

The last part of your quote is what I meant, you French tard.

In case you all haven't heard, he's from the old forums.

I'm sure he knows the name is generic, RPJK.

Anyway, cool bot. Good to have some more veteran blood roaming the forums and actually building.
