Would be cool. Twisted Metal is one of my most fav game series.
Though, making components like that takes a lot of effort and time... which a lot of us don't seem to have.
I blame work and school.

That is why i made my comment.
What is to stop them from sending their bots to the team leader and have the leader submit them as replacements. There is really no way to know. So, technically, they still have some time left.

B-B-B-BUMP! @Poll Looks like it's going to get voted in.
Don't mean to burst your bubble, but 10 people being interested isn't going to fare very well against the other tournaments in which there are far more people interested in those. When the official poll is posted to vote on the tournaments we want to see go through I believe only the top 5 will get approved or something like that. You don't have a very good reputation at the moment, so don't get your hopes up too much.

I think my first episode that I saw had some sit and spin bot similar to Gold Digger... but it was olive green I think. I liked that bot for some reason.
You're probably thinking of Blade Runner.
Yes! Thanks man. I think that will be my next replica.

When I first got into Battlebots i was in awe at Overkill. Then I saw it fight and realized it was mostly a pretty face. I think my first episode that I saw had some sit and spin bot similar to Gold Digger... but it was olive green I think. I liked that bot for some reason.
Don't remember much of Robotica... :P
When I got into Robot Wars, Matilda was my fav all the way.

Just so their isn't any confusion. Replicas usually are referred to bots that represent IRL bots. Making a copy of another persons posted bot is a Clone. (or Klone as some of teh L33t People would call them) Didn't want people getting confused. :D
Anyways. Excellent! I am glad to see you build something of that caliber! And i bet you learned a ton on the way there. Making clones is a great way to learn and gain some mad skills.

The real solution is that Battlebots and Robot Wars need to become commercially profitable again. I agree. That's not exactly a solution though. More like hoping for something uncontrollable and improbable to just happen.
I honestly have more faith in Atari releasing Robot Arena 3 after finding out that Battlebots was going to be on prime time TV again (if that ever were to happen). vs. A bunch of well-intentioned rogue programmers deciding it would be a kick-ass project to design and finish. ------- Maybe I am just jaded, but money talks. I don't think it involves hope at all. If combat robotics hit prime time again and people were yelling and cheering for the Mortis' and Bulbasaurs... we would have our RA3 and the licensing rocket would launch again. Theres a plethora of McDonalds Battlebot Toys on eBay right now that prove it. :D

you could team up with DragonFire :D we want to challenge after the neverending story of FPX challenging me but doesn`t send any bots
Sounds awesome. I'm in! Might build something different though. Was kinda kidding about Mouser.

...well it was worth the try :P
Well in that case I call first grudge match against you with Mouser! :P

The real solution is that Battlebots and Robot Wars need to become commercially profitable again. Once the market determines that a trend is profitable... then the correct companies will spend time and money to make a new game. But, unfortunately, all a majority of you kids like to do these days is shoot stuff. Come to think of it... Lego company would probably make a pretty decent amount of money if they developed a game that allowed you to build robots and pit them against each other in destructive combat. Another idea would be if a College/University team made their final thesis project to develop a combat robotics game. It would be worth the time and effort if the final reward was a good grade or semester graduation merits. Any of you college kids got a tech lab / computer science lab to propose this to?
