On the topic:
"This has become the forum equivalent of bouncing a tennis ball against a brick wall, except that the brick wall is autistic."
Who said that?

Does it self-right when it's on it's back like that, or does the snapper not have to power to heave it back over?
Unfortunately no, the real thing had a fairly weak motor powering the trap so that is swung ponderously and retracted like a winch pulling a beached car.

New Mousetrap. I replaced the thz motor with a snapper, since I finally figured out how to make it swing almost 180 degrees. Now it works like the real thing without havoking. C osmetically it's the same as before, but I had to rebuild everything but the body.

The new arena looks real nice, I had a chance to play with it for the first time recently, and I'm almost ready to start using it in my videos. I know Wham hasn't posted here recently, so would anyone be willing to do me a personal favour and make a slightly modified version for me? I want to.... 1) Turn off the flipper & dropzone but keep the other hazards active, and 2) Adjust the starting points so that the four bots form a square instead of a rectangle. Thanks a lot, here's the download link to Wham's arena if you can't find it https://rs931p4.rapidshare.com/cgi-bin/rsapi.cgi?sub=download&fileid=3181725481&filename=Robot%20Wars%20(Beta).rar&bin=1

im getting a rookie friend of mine into the game and he's trying to rotate round extenders for hours trying to get them facing the proper way to attach via the sides in the direction he's looking for. has anyone came up with a way to make extension points viewable on the part as you are attaching it without making them visible all of the time (i.e. in practice, battles). it'd make for a really helpful tool.
my apologies if this has been asked ten thousand times or something
thanks in advance~
This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but it'll rotate parts by a perfect 90 or 180 degrees, which sounds like something your friend could use: https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=6845.0

I had a girlfriend once. Lasted a few weeks then the bitch betrayed me by getting the hard lads after me. All I can say is thank **** the blue bus took me out of town. (I live just outside of Belfast in a place called Newtownabbey) Bus took me to Carrick then took train back home. Currently got a good female friend of mine I talk to on Skype every month who used to live near me but had to move to Sweden cause her dad got a major IT job. But times change. Considering the way my life is at the moment with trying get an A in my IT course, getting bullied by my siblings and trying to squeeze every other moment playing through games I don't want a girlfriend. I mean come on! Why is it all the nice quiet girls end up moving away to other countries while all the girls left here are either ditzy or smoke and drink every night. Its a ****ing pain!
That's the most Irish you've ever sounded.

Zeus rebuilt completely after the abysmal performance in its last appearance, and because the original was made based on disproportionate pics. It should be able to self right when flipped sideways.

Make a loop with X seconds having passed with 0 speed and if that's the case => activate the srimech.
How do I do that?

my replica of Arnold arnold wont fire its srimech when its flipped on its back or side. I think it may be because its resting on a component without its body touching the floor. Can i change something to make it fire its srimech more often?

Rebuilt Arnold Arnold Terminegger, this time with a srimech that doesn't havok, and smooth angles between extenders.

Thorgrim rebuilt - the old one was built when all I had was a single photo of the front. This one has better drive.

Dunno why you'd want to, it was the worst Robotica finalist ever. But this vid has the Robotica final so it's your best bet for screenshots.
Nah, Rambot has it beat by 5 points.
I don't mean statistically, I mean my personal opinion. That much armor was insanely excessive for a competition where the robots rarely touch each other, and its shape and design were just not at all conducive to the competitions (can't climb ramps, no plough for clearing debris, not exceedingly good speed or torque)

Unregistered Hypercam generates decent footage, and the logo is pretty unobtrusive.

Stop replying to this thread and giving him the attention he wants. Let him announce his departure, and move on.
But that'll just give him for fuel for his fire about bitching to TheEscapist (or wherever the hell he's fĂșcked off to) about how no-one here cares about him. We have to damage limit here, and mocking him is a better option.
Let him say what he wants on TheEscapist, posts get buried without a reply in a matter of hours. Seriously, I've gotten a reply to maybe 1 in every 30 posts I've made.
