But there is a possiblity that you could slide under Dark Pounder's bar with Hunter's wedge, and push it around the arena. It looks low enough to the ground to do so. 10043
Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Typhoon II Vs. Storm II« on: November 02, 2010, 01:07:45 PM »I don't know...especially when they threw that chain up to the control pods. And it's terrible to realise that the Typhoon team were practically lying to save face and get the money, really. And then at the same time, they had the nerve to make out they were completely undamaged! If I were Gary Cairns (The team captain), I'd be ashamed.Awww, that made me quite happy actually.Yeah, it was pretty bad, the boos must have been huge, they're still obvious with the cheers dubbed over. That last part is true, actually! Once the judges found out about the damage Typhoon 2 had a little while later, they actually sent the Storm team individual letters of apology 10044

No worries about it. Mine's just over the UK featherweight category in real life.

Real Robotics Discussion / Re: Typhoon II Vs. Storm II« on: November 02, 2010, 12:45:32 PM »Storm 2's treatment was disgusting. First the Producers forced the team to put on an active weapon, then they put it in a Heat with 2 feared spinners Shredder and Supernova. Then they tried to disqualify it after its fight with Firestorm, claiming it never used its weapon and supposedly broke the rules. Then they raised the pit back up for Tornado, then they allowed Typhoon 2 to repair its weapon and didnt let the Judges know about this or the dislodged drivechains at the end of the fight.Quoted for truth. And then there's also how the audience were booing so much at the decision that they had to edit cheers in to make Storm II look like the bad guys! +1 for the valid points raised, by the way ![]() 10047

So I'm up against Whirligig in Round 1? Right.
It depends on how fast Whirligig can get up to speed and if it can flip over and hit Purse's lid. From what I can see though, it looks a bit weak, so if I can flip it around enough to cause damage, I could possibly OOTA it or damage it enough to win. If it does happen, it should then probably put me against Dizzy Dragon, Hazard, and Dark Steel. I initially got Dark Steel and Dark Pounder confused, which had me worried, but from looking now, I see that none of my opponents can self-right. However, Hazard looks like it has an OK wedge, so I'll have to watch out for it depending on the speed and power of its bar and whether it can KO me before I can flip it. 10049

But before you do that, I'll reduce 360 to floating Space Junk before the day is done

Ah yes, of course. By that, I was saying that Scrap's replica was very well painted.

360- The disc weapon looks pretty dangerous, and as long as it can stay on its wheels, I can see this one winning its bout.
Jo Mama- Potent-looking weaponry, but I'm not certain whether its wedge will work. Nice work on the belts, though. Herr Gepounden- I like how Scrap did the paintjob for this one. That pole looks vunerable to breakages, though. Dizzy Dragon- Very Pink, and quite interesting with the full-circle protection from the beater bars. How strong are they, though? Dark Steel- An angled HS- its weaponry doesn't look too durable, and the weapon system design may leave it vunerable to flippers, I fear. Sloth- An interesting VS design, but looks a bit topheavy. Missing Link- I have a feeling that those exposed motors will be its downfall. Hazard- Nice paintwork and wedge, but how powerful is that bar on its own? Mighty Mouse- I like the ears on this one, and as long as its drive is fast, I can see this one scoring points. But how good is that rollcage? Scutlet- Sorry Stag. The pasteuriser gets the SFTW vote from me. A good try at remaking it, though. Whirligig- A nice-looking Thwackbot design. Can it flip over like it can in real life, though? Doctor Inferno Junior- Definitely one of the best-looking replicas here, but might be a little bit topheavy. Death by Monkeys- Those spikes look potent, but their effectiveness depends on the strength of the drive. Cassius- A reincarnation of Cassius II from the previous series, perhaps? Anyway, its flipping arm can be effective if it's sufficiently powerful, but can it avoid damage long enough to line up a killer blow? Mr. Self Destruct- Not much'll be getting to those wheels, that's for certain! Strong-looking Bar Weaponry, too. Hunter- I love the paintjob, but I doubt it'll survive too long in the arena without weapons and hazards. Disc-O-Inferno- I really don't like the paintjob for this one- Disc-O wasn't pure green. Nevertheless, its disc looks pretty scary. Twisted Metal EVO- Nice paintwork here, but as with Disc-O-Inferno above, its disc power depends on the motor. Dark Pounder- Well, it's obvious Pwn made this one ![]() Anyway, as long as its wedge is good, I can see this one as one of the favourites. Dragonstrike- Deutscheman's disc spinner looks good with its paintwork, but it might be vunerable to propping on its back. Hvispila- The bars look like powerful assets on a Perm, but I wonder about its functionality when Upside-down. Explosion- This flipper looks well-defended under its armour, and as long as its flipper power lives up to its name, I can see it winning Round 1 at least. Aggrovated Assault- Interesting to see how my friend the Snow-Miser managed to cram four-wheel drive into it, but with only a shovel for weaponry, it might be at a disadvantage. Hkasa- Reminds me of the first Wedge of Doom, in a way. It looks like a good pusher, but it'll go nowhere fast if it ends up flipped. Purple Plasma- An interesting design with invertability and flipper weaponry, but it looks underdefended. DTK- I like how this one looks, and how it can damage with its beater bar flipper. I don't know if the wedges will get in the flipper's way, though. Raizer Blade- Now that's what I call a replica paintjob. As long as its armour holds out, this one could do well. Gemini- Siamese twins? Joking aside, interesting double-end flipper weapons, but it looks vunerable to flippers and flanking. Purse- This one could be one to watch, considering how low it is to the ground and the power of its flipper. Tentomushi- Another one of the potential favourites, Joe's smotherbot could do some good damage with that Ziggo Sheck. Junkyard Dog- Ah, so not the box on wheels with the pnuematic ram, then? Nonetheless, It looks interesting, but where are the weapons? Matkia- Depends on the power of its flipper in relation to its armour and speed. 10057
