Recently my FN button became faulty and i need to use the F2, F3 and F4 keys for RA2 because if i just press the buttons without the fn key i don't get the F keys. so basically my question is: Is there a way to change the keyboard/settings so i don't have to press fn to get the F keys or do i have to get a new keyboard?

Is thermidor to scale-ish with the other robots (unlike dsl 2.1 where it was oversized a bit in my opinion)

Brilliant! For your first US robot, that's pretty much perfect- I particularly love how you've done the Front Scoop and other such details. If that's the sort of standard we can expect for the other US robots, I bet we'll be in for a real treat once they're ready. Very well done!   :claping

- in fact, themed teams (Like in the original DSL) might be a good idea, in which case I'd be happy to provide some new Team Logos.  :D

Actually, I think the textures on panzer are from extreme destruction.

If you want to fight against your own bots then you need to ai them. Here is a tutorial https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?page=page3951. as for painting your bots either go to the paint job editor in robot arena 2 and edit there or do the same but click export template name the skin whatever you want and tick the export robot chassis then go out of the game. then find the custom texture folder in the ra2 directory and edit it with an editor of your choice.

Been working on this one nearly all day xD


Scoop is now correctly proportioned, now a bit bigger in size, now has the top box instead of the weird inside stuff, and most importantly, it's lifter cage now lifts with the scoop, instead of just the scoop lifting up :P


Still need to work on some bursts for it as it can barely lift itself atm, but other than that, the majority is done! :)


And I figured it needs the axe other wise it's useless at causing any damage to other robots :P

That behemoth looks awesome.
Did you create the components for it or did you reskin the DSL ones?

i use notepad. what i think the problem is is that i didn't save the txt or i didn't close the txt but i'm not sure. it's just suddenly started working.

EDIT: i tried to add a second team in and its stopped working again.

i put all of the bindings data for all of the bots i was going to put in (3 in each team) and for the txt editing i copied and pasted the last team and renamed to the next index (so if the one i copied was 12 i renamed the next 13). and i named all of the teams like they are in the ai folder. i don't know why but it didn't work.

EDIT= i know that it is something wrong with the teams.txt because when i change it back to normal the game loads properly

EDIT2= I'm not sure why, but it suddenly works

did you try to add them by yourself?
did you change the entries in the bindings.py? and in team.txt?

I added them in myself and i modified the teams.txt and the bindings but it didn't work for some reason.

So i got the 30 day free trial of 3ds max (2013) and i did exactly what it said on the wiki but when i come to open the script it just come up with symbols and doesn't do anything. Do i need an earlier version of max or is there another solution? Please Help!

I've had a look but I don't know what the solution is yet. I'll let you know if i can find out how to fix it.

EDIT: I'm not sure what counts as an object but have you checked that the object count is 4.

EDIT 2: When i try to compile the chaosbodydecomp i get Runtime error 9 subscript out of range.
