Also there's a flaw in the mod. Some of the parts are marked as cheat parts though they aren't that. Clickbeetle told me a very easy way to avoid this happening, it was just only changing a 0 to 1 in a file but I can't remember in which file.

When you, Clicky, read this topic tell him which file it was.

But the game isn't designed like that. I also first thought so but nope. The game isn't designed like that.

Yeah I'm thinking that too. Maybe it is because the RA2 isn't designed for 64-bit processors.

But I would like to hear someone else's opinion who has 64-bit processor also.

You have installed the DSL-TC 2.0 mod, right? After you start the game you got to your HQ and build a bot in there. Then you take a motor and make it point up. Then you take a one of those black discs found under extenders menu if I remember right. Then you attach it to the motor and then you take those black side panels, or what they are called again, and they are also found under the extenders menu and then you attach them to the disc. Now you have full body spinner.

Nice looking bots I like the way how they look out. Simple and blocky. Nice. I maybe should do something like that too.

General Support / Duplicating Ra2- How do you keep the original and DSL...?
« on: December 10, 2006, 04:30:34 AM »
It's very very simple. You just install one RA2 on your hard drive. Then you patch it. After that you just take copy and paste and rename the folder to, for example, Robot Arena 2 DSL-TC.

Now you have two RA2 folders but only first one has working registry markings but that doesn't matter the game at all.

Now you just install DSL-TC 2.0 mod into the Robot Arena 2 DSL-TC folder and that's it. Now you have duplicated the RA2 game to two different games.

General Support / Can't host online or LAN games
« on: December 09, 2006, 08:53:00 AM »
I think the problem comes from your wireless router. Because routers make kind of double ip to your computer, as the gamespy said. And that means that your computer's IP address is different than your modem's IP address and THE GAME don't understand double IPs.

So your problem is the router. Get rid of it and connect your computer directly to the modem so that you have only one IP and that means that your Internal and External IP is the same and that mean that your computer's IP is same as the modem's IP.

Problem solved. Get a modem with only one Lan plugin in it and connect your pc there and now your external and internal ips are same. Then the game understands your ip address and you can host.

I... Don't know. I maybe won't play because I have so much stuff to do.

But it would be nice to play but I also don't have any new bots since... 6 months maybe. :\

You should. Check that you don't have characters which aren't allowed in filenames and when you are exporting the bot, click the bot then click the export button and it may take sometimes ages to save the bot but it should always finally get over it and do it.

And that's it your bot is now in Robot designs folder. Or at least it should go like that.

Umm... Hard to say anything, because firewall doesn't do things like that.

And I have never experienced anything like that.

General Support / tank treads
« on: November 25, 2006, 07:53:53 AM »
You should be able to install it because you first attach the locking motor on your bot and then attach the tank tread there. You also can attach the tank tread to a normal motor but there's some issues with it which I don't remember right now.

But it really should work just placing the locked motor on your bot and then attaching your tank tread to the locked motor. Or was it locking motor, anyway. It should work like that.
