I redid the bot, made it thinner, tighter, but all I can manage to afford with my weight is 3 blacks... I'll try again later today. Yeah, I'll make sure to post them in the same thread. My bad.

I know that, but I also know that a DDT takes more juice than a hp ztek. I just want to make sure I'm not underpowering.

Thanks, a few questions though. Do you guys think that 2 black batteries is enough power for this setup? I have enough weight to add a nifty, but I just dont have the space, and I couldnt get it to stack. Is it possible to stack different kinds of batts together?

Well, here is the next step in my popup building abiltiy. Here is another view. And one more. As you can see this one is tighter, has a 4HPZ drive instead of 2, and has 4 razors tips per arm for a total of 16, instead of my original 8. My soul gripe is that i cannot fit red battery in there, and it doesnt seem to want to stack into a black. The 2 blacks were hard enough to fit it. What do you guys think?

Well I decided to try Sage's advice of build another kind of bot besides a HS. I believe this is called a "popup." I'm going to work on building a tighter, larger version of this bot with 4 hpz's and maybe more DDT's within a few days. This is my first popup. No name yet. Tell me what you guys think. And here is a clear view of my weapon setup at its "end" position. It has 8 razor tips on 4 DDt's. I know there is some empty space, I'll deal with that soon. Damage is about 800 to 2000 points per hit on stock bots, no Starcore yet since I had to reinstall today, but at least it can beat Emergency haha. My biggest issue is how underweight it is... I put on all that I thought would be useful, and even a bit extra, but there just isnt enough room, hence the upcoming larger remake. Armor is DSA. Power is 2 stacked black batteries.

Well, I tried to download and install the 1.3 patch and I thought I did everything right, but instead when I tried to get back on my game, it gave me a grey screen and I had to reinstall. I searched around a bit and could not quite figure out how to install this this properly... So how do I do it without jacking up my game??? Thanks

About 2/3 of the time I try to join an online multiplayer game, this pops up, and I can't join. Any clue how to fix it or what I can do? Thanks.

Dude. You gotta let me be the 1st to fight it. I wanna see how fast it can beat me. Later bro. EDIT- AND THEN, I think we should see how it does against Absolute Chaos. Maker willing of course.

I know most of you hate multiplayer due to the lagg, but I also know that some of the new people will nice bots are willing to bear it for a good match. If any of the members here would like to have a good online match, just let me know and I'd be glad to set it up. NOTE--- For some reason (I think its the effeing glitch for some reason) my main bot slows down arena loading so it can take up to 4 minutes or so. No DSL bots please.

only 36 maces? no improvement then... AC and other bots have 36 maces. He never said it was an improvment, just a new way of doing things. Although it would be a lot more compact, so who knows? It may be better. Antiballast would be cheating haha.

I bet he figures out a way to get this working and under the weight limit. Don't ask me how but every time Ive doubted him with this game, hes suprised me. That bot is the pics is using DSA and not the tightest possible chassis. If he uses plastic armor and make a new body for it, I believe he can do it.

Well basically, I have no clue about what else to do. I want to have some good challenging fights, but that just isnt happening. I've tried all I can think of. I tried to join the old Hamachi RA2 servers but they were all full. I made my own but basically no one joined. I'm tired of looking for good fights in multiplayer, and only finding noobs with what basically amounts to Walrus with shiney hubs and a new paint job with flames on it. I havent been beat online since I really got back into this game more than a month ago with the exception of when a member used SHW Alligator against me. I've played all the starcore v3 heavyweights and I can beat 9 out of 10 of them. Even the good ones. Neglected Waterbug, Little Darling, Rabid Pit Bull. Borg Queen, Clockwork Hydra...... I really wanted to join that new Hamachi server that was made and requires a pm for the password, but being a realitive noob, I'm highly doubtful I'd be allowed in. I remember when Emergency was hard. Now I can destroy it in 11 seconds..... Any advice or something. Anyone else have this issue? Thanks.

I remember fighting Deadlights online.
and as Sage said, plan before you make a chassis. Make a chassis that will fit your components perfectly, not a random chassis and fill it up. Actually, I believe you fought Indrid Cold which is Deadlights but with razors. You turned me onto maces, thanks for that. Think it was you claimed you wanted to test my bot and then used SHW Alligator haha. Yeah, I know. Thats kinda what I was going for with ICXC NIKA. I made quite a few chassies before I got one that was much smaller but could still fit all of my desired components in. Had to remake it 3 times. At this point, I consider Deadlights pretty much retired.

If you can, download the hidden Stock AI parts. They include the Snapper II, which is ideal for overlapping. I may, however I really have a thing for sticking to just pure stock components... edit, sorry for the double post.

turn the razors on sideways.
golden rule of RA2: build the chassis around the components, not the opposite. So, with a round chassis you cant do that.
looking pretty good though. i love hs too. Yeah, I know. I'll have to get over the circular design, but i love the way it looks. Thats why I rebuilt deadlights as ICXC NIKA. Tried to make it as small as I could. Thanks.

As instructed, I will be only posting my bots in here from now on, haha. Here is what I believe to be the final version of my popup, Serious Cat. Here it is from the outside. Here are the guts. It's tighter than my previous 2 designs, has 3 black batteries, 4 razors per arm hidden in the chassis for a total of 16. 4 hp ztecs which i got as close together as I could using axle loading, 4 DDTs, DSA armor, 2 burst mounted small wedges, for a total weight of 799. The whole thing at 6 pixles high. This is my 3rd popup.
