Seems awesome from experimenting so far, yet another congratulations to the whole team involved, worth the wait! Initially seemed prone to crashing on Windows 10 playing in a window, but good ol' Run as Administrator and/or Compatibility Mode sorted that and it hasn't crashed since! Just a few constructive thoughts for the future, certainly not trying to sound ungrateful or anything aha! - I get a "no disc inserted" message when starting, though it is easily cleared by clicking continue, anyone else had this? - The hi-res replicas look amazing, especially for someone who is rather OCD for quality like me! The only one I've noticed so far is that Hypno-Disc's textures look noticeably lower res than the rest? Can easily just swap them with the extracted RW: ED ones though. - Again the original Robot Wars arenas look brill and hi-res! Though it is a great alternative as it is, is the Series 7 arena a tad dark and should be more blue tinged to be screen accurate? (I also swapped the hzd_trapdoor_loop.wav sound for an original Pit Siren recording, and the Cease voice to an original recording). - The Mega Adapter sounds useful for us slightly less experienced builders! Seems to be a good selection of components. - Felt nice and nostalgic playing the RW: AOD / ED arenas! - The menus all look slick and professional now, and again nostalgic to have the good ol' AOD / ED menu music! As you can see I'm a stickler for original Robot Wars, so am not very familiar with the young upstart live event robots, but using them in this mod is a good way to get to know them! Though contrary to that I think the Robot Wars Live Arena is my fave at the moment, looks perfect! Obvs its a shame about the omitted robots but totally understand why they are so don't want to be another to moan about that! But yes, there are many more praises I could list than constructive thoughts, but I think everyone else summed those up really!

That lighting effect floor texture though <3 That's a new lighting standard to live up to for Robot Wars arenas! And a gauntlet version would be awesome!

Bump! Was at the Barnsley Robot Wars Live Event today and I had chance to speak to John Findlay in the interval regarding the original House Robots, here's what he had to say: John "We think we know where they are, it's currently a legal battle to obtain them, two of them (didn't have chance to ask which) have been in Las Vegas" (I assume with some rich memorabilia collector or something like that!) Me "ahh wow making some headway then!" John "well yeah" Sounds a bit promising at least compared to our previous news! Puzzling that its a legal battle when they own the rights! I assume the people that have them don't want to give them up or something.

Looking awesome! Btw, sorry if it's been already asked but, is the mod having/already sorted battle music?

Wow that UI looks brill akshaylan! And here's what I did of the main menu. I made it in Serif Draw, a vector graphic program so I have exported each object as .bmp's and .tga's for use with the game. https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/RW AI UI.rar

Cheers guys! And aye I was thinking along the same lines. Possibly some sort of bar/grill thing along the bottom like RW:ED and some gears in the background or something.

So far so good! Have just been doing some fairly rough designs for possible UIs for this. This was one I did, more inspired by the show itself than the games, see what you guys think. Gonna try some other menus in this design when I can as well. Not totally sure about the background or the "Options, Credits, Quit" box at the moment. I also managed to figure out how to mod the .gib file to alter the button placement to use this design.

Cool! :) I'll have an experiment when I can! What might be the actual name for it?

Ooh yay was hoping we'd make one! Sounds good! Wouldn't mind giving the UI or skins in general a go. Would the UI layout be based of the current one and just be a different design?
And I've played about a lot with the Robot Wars music/sfx, so if any work needs doing with those then count me in with that too! :) I'm pretty new to the coding side of it though aha.

After being inspired by a user of the Robot Wars Wiki who did it himself (StalwartUK), I was able to extract the soundtrack and textures from Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction. After people on here finding the textures useful, I thought people may also find the soundtrack useful, and it would be good if we could utilize it in RA2 as battle music and so on. For those who are interested, the soundtracks to all of the Robot Wars games are available here http://robotwars.wikia.com/wiki/User_talk:StalwartUK/Robot_Wars_music. Many thanks to StalwartUK of the Robot Wars Wiki! I also made/found a number of recordings myself, including the Pit Siren, 3 2 1 activate, cease and others. Also included is a battle music mix I use whilst playing RA2. I managed to copy code from another arena to get it to play during battles. I was wondering whether something like this could be implemented into RA2 in some way in the future. https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/My Robot Wars Recordings.part1.rarhttps://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/My Robot Wars Recordings.part2.rar

Wow well done guys this is all looking amazing! Glad the RW:ED textures have come of use! Shall be great to use in DSL 3! How's Hypno-disc looking nowadays? Never seemed to look quite right in my opinion, either the body being too chunky/large/small in comparison to the disk etc.
As mentioned in a different thread the full soundtrack from the game can be extracted too (includes songs not used in the game) Also I have some fairly decent "3, 2, 1", "standby", "cease", plus the sfx and pit siren sound effect I found online. so it would be good to make use of these somewhere too, as I have done with my DSL 2 game here.

Thanks Ducky :) And yep they are Extreme Destruction textures ;P Would to be able to get any from AOD? Just that I would love to work on Terrorhurtz and Mortis? :S Hmmm, I extracted files from my AOD Playstation 2 game using the same program (QuickBMS), although the files seem a little different. There very few .bmp files, and the rest seem to be .wad and .idx, don't have a clue about these O_o I presume if I had AOD on PC the file structure would be similar to my Extreme Destruction on PC (Damn why did I get rid of my AOD for PC!) So looks like it'll just be ED stuff at the mo.

Almost all of the images are .tga's, but there is a handful of .bmp's. They are all 24-bit as far as I am aware.

Seen as there have been quite a few requests for various textures from Robot Wars: Extreme Destruction, I have compressed the entire 'Graphics' folder from the game. This includes all textures and a number of other files, possibly notepad or mesh files also contained in this folder. I hope this can be of much use for RW mods and replicas! The image names can sometimes be a little confusing, but you can eventually find what you want. If you wish to have a full arena floor, these are in sections, so multiple images must be combined to make an arena floor. *Note: I have split the folder into 3 .rar files using WinRAR. In order to view the full folder you must have all 3 .rar files present on your hard drive, however you only need to extract one of them to get the full 'Graphics' folder.*https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Graphics.part1.rarhttps://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Graphics.part2.rarhttps://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Graphics.part3.rar

Ahh yes looking very good! Those .rwm files of any use? And I bear gifts! https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/Japanese Rooftop Arena Textures.rar There seems to be less textures for this arena. Again personally I felt the AoD version looked nicer, although many of the images in my PS2 AoD seem to be in a weirdo format and poor quality aha.
