General Support / Crash when selecting an event (DSL 2.2 CE)

I get a crash to desktop with no error message when selecting an event (just before the bot selection popup) in TEAM HQ mode.
Running DSL 2.2 CE fresh from the downloads section in Win 7 Compat mode, full screen, 2 bot event limit. Tried with the default bot and team, and also with a custom team and bot, both crash before showing the bot select popup.
Exhibition matches work fine, tested with a lot of AI bots over all the arenas in various configs (1V1, Rumble, Team Battle, etc) using Forkie, bots from the Bot Exchange and my own bots and it all worked fine.
