General Support / Evening all, graphics question

Apologies if this a duplcate enquiry, but not found the answer I require.
I've been playing the game just fine for a few weeks. But tonight, it has decided that I don't have the correct screen resolution to play. I've changed the screen res to all the available options, and nothing, just the same error:
Unable to find suitable graphic device, Try changing video resolution.
Unable to initalise graphics engine
Press ok to terminate
Any sort of help would be much appreciated.
PS I should mention that I got the same error after I installed the game originally, so I changed the screen res and it worked. Then after a week or so, it allowed me to play with my normal screen res. Now just not at all.
