Hello and good evening to you (sweet things that aren't sweet I haven't said that in forever). This is the inaugural post of my Ironforge showcase. Some people tell me to start small. I tell some people to go to hell. Armor is Plastic 10. N-12's are wide. The internal temperature of the room that houses the Luxor's 39 xenon light beams can reach 300°F/149°C. This is Secret Sweeper, a SHW SnS that follows Ironforge Standard rules. Each bar is 120cm long with a 5-weapon array. All four arrays have a 40cm axe on each of their five attachment points, making for 20 total weapons. The shell is actually built off of a baseplate anchor on the bottom of the baseplate. I attached the main disc, which occludes the chassis, to the anchor, attaching the smallest shell plates to the main disc. Other discs were added at the top and bottom of the plates. Then, the drive and weapons were added to the shells on the outside. Fun fact: This bot was initially a flail SnS. I removed the flails to increase knockback, as in how far the target bot is knocked back upon impact. I question whether or not this was a wise decision. ADVANTAGES: +Fast, omni-directional spinning +Raw destructive power +Good defenses DISADVANTAGES: -Low battery power (four small batteries is all that will fit with the disc). Thoughts?

I recently went back and deleted three of the four of my old modification idea threads, although I will probably delete the last remaining one. Why did I delete these threads? Because they were made before it clicked that I was "doing it wrong." I started to think it over and now I have a modification idea that doesn't suck: Perm-80/Perm132 drives. Kinda like E-tek drives except with perms. In other words, Perms with big rectangles on them. The Perm-80 drive is larger and heavier than all of the other drive motors you have seen so far. However, it makes up for its bulk with its strength. It weighs 64kg, has 3000HP, and has a hefty 58 power. Never mind the bulk, this thing will provide more than enough drive power for whatever dastardly designs you can conjure up! It weighs 108kg, has 5500HP, and an astounding 98 power! Thoughts?

Hello and good evening to you. I have three ideas for tournaments. This first one takes RA2 to the skies! I call it: RA2 Dogfight. The tournament is Stock HW, standard building rules (no non-asthetic BFE, no AAM, no Hax Mode, all non-cheatbot2 parts allowed). The catch? Your bot must be able to fly. In other words, it MUST have a hovercraft engine on it (or more, I don't care how many are on it as long as it is at least one). Other rules may include: - Multibots allowed, must be 2-part, one bot goes down then the whole bot is out.
- Flippers, popups, jugglers, and wammers are ineffective, allowed if you can make it work.
- Bots must have at least one air tank for flying.
- To clarify on which components are allowed, it is everything in Stock EXCEPT FOR the cannon, flamethrower, and the magnet.
- Smartzones do not count as weight
RA2 one is similar to Dogfight, except instead of requiring a hovercraft engine, you are required to have a Powered Steering Unit. That's right, forced car steering! Rules if Stock: - Stock MW, standard Stock building rules (NO BFE, NO AAM, NO HAX MODE, NO cheatbot2, no custom components, etc.)
- Smartzones don't count as weght.
- Your PSU must be used for steering.
- The PSU does not count as weight
Rules if DSL: - DSL 2.1 Cruiserweight (up to 600kg), Standard building rules
- Standard rule excepted for the PSU
- The PSU does count as weight
Weapons - S3 Disc
- Matilda Teeth
- diablodrum
Extenders - All stock extenders
- Matilda flywheel
Wheels - All replica wheels (including beta and Thermidor wheels)
Extras - ALL replica extras except for the following:
- The Judge gavel head
- Beta battery and hammer
- Any other weapons or batteries in Extras including the stock batteries and DarkCell Batteries, which are in the power section.
- Also no Narmor
DSL 2.1 CW, standard building rules. BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Each user sends in a CW, but then they are randomly assigned teams of two to make a SHW Multibot. Then, they work together to defeat a SHW bot. Teams that win are advanced to the next round. Winning is one of the following: - Opponent is KO'ed (One or both user-submitted bots standing)
- Both bots survive until the end of the match AND win by points
The combined score of the two user-submitted bots must be greater than the score of the SHW
Losing is: - Both bots being KO'ed
- Time running out and only one CW is remaining
- Loss by Points
BUT WAIT THERE'S STILL MORE! At the end of each match and after each team has advanced, the bot teams will be reassigned. This shall continue until two bots remain, then they will face off against each other. Rules: - As said before, DSL 2.1 Cruiserweight, standard building rules
- No BFE, AAM, Hax mode, other forms of havok abuse, Trov/Thyrus chassis glitches, etc.
- Also no Narmor. Should be a given, but I should say it anyways.
- Also no Cheatbot2.
I am not green-ticking these because I don't know if I will have the time to start them. Thoughts?

Hello and good evening to you.
I think that MrAwesumsauce is worthy of the advanced user title. What do you think?

Okay, this game is on crack on crack on speed on meth on weed on crack on shrooms on crack Take a look at this: All six slots on this team are filled, yet only bots 3-5 appear. OS is Windows 7 Home Premium and RA2 Version is 1.3 CD with no mods. What should I do to fix it?

Hello and good evening to you. This game LIED TO ME When I exported my bot, the .bot file didn't show up in my Robot Designs folder. All of my bots have names that Windows 7 allows for file names. Also, in my Team1 folder in my Teams folder, only Bot5.bot appears even though all six slots are filled. RA2 Version is 1.3 CD. I must ask, what the magnets is going on and how do I fix it?

Hello and good evening to you. Have you seen this "rnifnuf" n00b? That guy thinks that he's better than to build in stock. He's not. First off, a VS. And guess what: Surprise. It's Ripblade 2X. This was literally built off of the chassis of the original Ripblade. Yes, armor is still Titanium. Can someone please provide the Scrapper's font for me so I can change the armor to DSA and re-skin R2X? Most of the first bots in this showcase will be remakes of stock AI bots. Deal with it... please? Absolutely unbeatable... by stock AI standards. Thoughts?

Hello and good evening to you. For some reason, the LumaZone texture is funky. Armor is--oh wait, this isn't the showcase board. Anyways, DSL version is 2.1, ready-to-go. Any ideas?

Hello and good evening to you. I am currently quite at this time. Why, you ask? Get this: every time I install a mod for RA2 (Except DSL, which is run from a separate folder entirely) the game crashes at the screen with the giant Infogrames logo It also happens in DSL! My Stock version is 1.3 installed from the CD, and my DSL version is 2.1. The only mods I really want to install on both versions are Unlimited Mass and Bigger Max Sphere (Mostly unlimited mass). Unlimited Mass does not work on either version. https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=14312.0It started happening after this was solved. What do I do so that I can install Unlimited mass without Stock or DSL crashing and, as a result, go from to ? Trov's Edit: I fixed the formatting for the link. EDIT 7/12/2013 4:45pm PDT: I have Cherry Flavored's Antiballast for Stock and it works just fine, although it changed the texture of the regular ballast. I don't have anything for DSL.

Hello and good evening to you. Here's the story: Ever since discovering the wonders of DSL on May 19, 2013, I turned my back on Stock. That changed earlier today (July 6, 2013) I vastly improved all of my main stock bots (Coming soon: rnifnuf's Cavalcade of Stock Crap), so I feel more confident in my stock building skills. THIS is where the problems start. After spending some time in C:\Program Files (x86)\Infogrames\Robot Arena 2\Robot Arena 2.exe with Cherry Flavored's Anti-Ballast installed, I decided to spend some time in G:\PC Games\DSL 2.1\Robot Arena 2.exe (My main DSL directory) It got to the first screen for a second, then stopped completely. It told me that "Windows couldn't find a solution to the problem" after DSL crashed. This was a Ready-To-Go version of DSL 2.1 downloaded from the RA2 Wiki. HERE is the kicker: My backup DSL did the same thing! I extracted the DSL files from the RAR again and ran DSL directly from there: SAME STINKING OUTCOME Maybe the problem was how I ran DSL in the first place: I put the extracted DSL folder on a flash drive and ran the DSL straight from there. NOW comes the question, the answer to which may be the solution to my conundrum. How do I properly install DSL AND be able to run both DSL and stock? I know I sound like a complete and total n00b, but I would appreciate any help to solve my conundrum so I can be , maybe even as opposed to

Hello and good evening to you.
Antweights are tough to build because of the weight constraints. Carbon Fiber (CF) Armor and proper extenders should help.
Carbon Fiber armor is as light as a feather and just as resilient.
CF 1: 2 mass, 100 health CF 3: 6 mass, 325 health CF 5: 10 mass, 540 health CF 10: 22 mass, 1440 health.
As for carbon fiber extenders, just make them like normal extenders: round and six attachment points.
...You know, just a thought...

(EDIT) For reasons of reasons, please skip the first two pages. Start at page 3. Say it with me now: Hello and good evening to you. So I heard you are building a popup. Here, use this beast as a template Not impressed? Just look at this: Same robot, just cooler. RNF-0032II "Cutting Wedge II" is the name. Where is your robot now? Look at the insides: Quite frankly, I don't really care about going overkill on batteries. I like my bots to have plenty of power for long matches. Magmotors+Wide ant wheels=Zero Ground Clearance and still decently fast. EIGHT razors fly out at your opponent for maximum damage. Each polycarbonate rack of four is individually controlled by two BSG-200 burst motors Titanium 3 armor gives it maximum defense while keeping it below 400Kg. The Titanium sheet wedge has slipped CW under countless bots and led it to glorious victory. This thing will devour everything in its path. Here it is mangling SlashBack: Not impressed? How about now?. It can even take out some heavyweights. Just ask poor Backyard Shredder. And it isn't even done. Uh, never mind. Not even community-made bots stand a chance. Poor Smashbox. How could this get any worse for him? Oh yeah, that's how. Notice the wheel CW chewed up and spit out without a second thought. Everyone, bow down to your new Middleweight God, or else you shall RUE the day you tangoed with... RNF-0032II "Cutting Wedge II" P.S. I still have Cutting Wedge I. Same chassis, mag snappers, large ants, skirt wedges. Less resistant to attacks, but self-rights easier.

Hello and AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH to you. As if the Compressor Arena and Ocean Platform crashing wasn't bad enough, now the WHOLE GAME stopped working! The game starts at the screen with all of the logos. It stays there for some time before crashing! NNNNNNNNGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH! This has happened TWICE. The first time, I closed the game at the bot repair screen during an event. The second time this happened, I closed the battle in an event with Alt+F4. I still have both folders on my flash drive. Neither of them can run DSL. No other files have been affected by this event. What do I do to fix these games? Potentially helpful info: OS: Windows 7 Pro SP1 (I don't know why I got Win 7 Pro; Don't ask questions) DSL Version: 2.1, Downloaded from the RA2 Wiki

Hello and good evening to you. I have DSL 2.1 running on Windows 7 pro, and I would like to know... WHY THE STRAWBERRIES DOES IT CRASH WHEN I ENTER THE COMPRESSOR ARENA? Seriously! The match starts, but the bots don't move. The game crashes within ten seconds. This also happens with the ocean platform arena. What's strange is that the rest of the game runs just fine. So whenever this happens, I go from to to to finally to How do I fix this so I can stop being ?
