Hi guys, I was recently diagnosed with mild to moderate depression, and I believe I may have had it for some time. I don't wish for this thread to be a 'boo hoo pity me' thing, but is there anyone else on here who suffers from this, or something similar? If so, what do you find best to combat it, and ultimately conquer it? Cheers.
Btw I love you all very much okay

So guys, I've been away for a bit. A few months, to be precise. Anything I should know about? I heard something regarding MKB's 5x post of death, or something along those lines... So, what have I missed?

Just thought I'd promote a new web series that I'm starting, entitled "Don and James" - here's a sneak preview clip:
Enjoy.

Iirc, there never used to be a limit to the size of these, as the forum automatically scaled it for you. Whatever happened to that? I've got a new avatar I want to use, and it's a gif file, so lots of images, and I cba to downscale each one to 150 x 150.

Would this be a good idea? And is it possible for it to be integrated into the game? It would add a degree of realism, even if it is slightly outdated by modern computer standards.

So you may remember that I recently got Windows 7 the other day.
Well, so far, it works flawlessly, and is far better than XP. But for some reason DirectX 9 (which I had on XP) is overwriting DirectX 11. This is shown in multiple games: Crysis 2 and any source engine game (other games I have don't show the DirectX level). I installed DirectX 11, reinstalled it, tried again, and again, but to no avail.
Is there any reason why this is happening?

I don't see a thread for this anywhere, only HL2 Deathmatch.
Discuss.

How do I unsubscribe from a thread? I don't see any option to it anywhere...

So what do you want your first car to be? You can't be stupid and just say a Ferrari Enzo or something, you have to look at current cars for sale, set yourself a budget (say 10,000), and then look at cars which look good, handle good and suit your tastes. For me, it would have to be this: Link to car for sale: http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C237796What would be yours?

If you've been stalking my forum posts, you may remember me saying a few days ago about a mod for HL2 which I'm developing. http://www.moddb.com/mods/awakelostfaithWell I implemented parallax mapping into it using a custom shader downloaded off the interweb built specifically for Source Engine 2007. It worked perfectly until I accidentally decided to screw it up. So I deleted the shaders, and then put in new fresh editions. The problem is, the game doesn't read them. All materials which use the shader show up as wireframe, with the console saying that it can't find the shader, despite it being in the mod's shaders folder (the fxc one). I even ran the sdk_shaders.bat file in the src folder, but to no avail. I even edited the command lines to point to the mods directory. Still no luck. If anyone knows how to fix this, then it will be greatly appreciated. (Serge?)

I understand that I'm not really one for making suggestions, but this idea's been hanging around in my head for quite a while now.
How about, for every post, you have a "like" or a "dislike" button? Say if someone makes a post which contributes towards a thread significantly, then people could "like" that post to show that.
Do you think it's a good idea? Comments and thoughts please.

It's difficult to hear it, but once you have, you won't stop laughing.
A bit of background: Sometime in the late 1980s, 2 guys decided to start prank calling a certain bar. They recorded the prank calls and distributed them. This then became the inspiration for Bart Simpson's prank calls. Just listen and laugh.

I understand if you find this to be a bit pedantic, but why don't I have the "Roboteer" title? After all, I do compete in Roaming Robots when I can... Problem is, I've missed most of this year's events, due to schoolwork and suchlike.
Can you please change the title, if it's not too much hassle?

All,
Recently I got Garry's Mod for my MacBook Pro. For the first couple of days it worked perfectly, with no flaws. I then tried to run it with Screenflow (screen capture software) running at the same time. It then froze on startup.
Now, the game always freezes/crashes on startup.
Info on my Mac:
Model Name: MacBook Pro Model Identifier: MacBookPro7,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.4 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 3 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 1.07 GHz Boot ROM Version: MBP71.0039.B05 SMC Version (system): 1.62f6 Serial Number (system): 34026GNEATM Hardware UUID: 105D21BC-C575-5322-88C4-B698CE48867B

All, I'm having problems installing Steam on my Macbook Pro Laptop.
I already have it on my pc, I just want to play TF2 and HL2 on my laptop, as they can be played on the mac as well as the pc.
Whenever I boot it up, it says: "Unable to connect to Steam Network. 'Offline Mode' is unavailable because there is no login information stored on this computer." Can someone help me fix it? Cheers.

All,
I've recently had to uninstall AVG anti virus for my Windows XP, in order for Team Fortress 2 to run properly (not do the sound loop thing which happens). However, I am now in need of a new anti virus software. Any recommendations?

All, the small burst motor which I see all of you use (that square one which is quite small) doesn't show in my stock game. Any reasons why? Is it a custom component which you use? Or am I just not looking in the right place?
I think it's called the right angle motor or something similar.

The thought sprung up in my head. Basically you say how many hours, minutes and seconds it is until 12:00am Christmas day.
12 hours 0 minutes 0 seconds until Christmas day.
