Does anyone play the game Hearthstone? it's been out for a while now and is free to play (you can earn every card for free). I'm currently on my best arena (which is like drafting in MTG) run yet at 5-0.
Trying to get enough gold to get some Naxx wings for the new single player adventure mode coming later this month.

So at E3 the new Playstation, the PS4 was finally revealed. It will be $399 US and most importantly it will not have any silly restrictions!
*Want to sell a game to someone via ebay? you can! *Want to lend a game to a friend? you can, without any catches! *Want to play your games years after PS4 stops being supported? you can! *No internet connection? no worries! There is no required check in of any kind!
The crowd went mental for these announcements and it was clear Sony was taking shots at M$.

New info is just around the corner, being a gamer I will be watching even if I don't like Xbox. What are you hoping to see? what are you hoping not to see? IGN ran a poll and the results seem pretty sad to me:
"Q: What are you most excited to hear about from the next-gen Xbox announcement?
Game Announcements: 36.03%
Tech Specs: 35%"
only 1% more are more excited about the actual games? Am I the only person who thinks this is sad?
What is your stance about the rumoured always online? Will they charge you monthly just to use your console?

It looks like my next tournament will be Red vs Blue! This tournament will have 2 large teams made up of up to 20 people on each depending on how many people enter, if I get 40 entries than we will see every robot weight class for both stock and DSL. I will list available robots like this (just an example): Stock: AW AW BW BW LW LWMW MW HW HWDSL: AW AW BW BW LW LWMW MW HW HWNormal text colour will mean that the robot type is still available and green will mean that the robot type is taken. The format will be as follows: *I will randomise teams with - http://www.random.org/lists/ the first of each robot type will go on team red and second on team blue. *Every robot gets one match against the same weight class and mod type (stock or DSL) from the opposing team. *Every match will consist of 5 rounds. *Every round win will earn you a point for your team. *The team with the most points at the end will be declared the winner. Rules: Stock and DSL rules: *Multi-bots (2 clusters maximum per multi-bot) are allowed. *No Nasty Pickles, Bumble bots, Trinity Flyers, Crawlers or any other cheap robots. *Robots must show controlled movement and have at least 2 wheel drive. *Standard in-game glitches (such as axle loading) allowed (STOCK ONLY). *No AAM, Hax mode, Trov glitch, BFE or any other nonsense. *No new uberstack glitch. *No Cheatbot2. *AI parts are allowed but... *No 140cm extender. *No trying to find loopholes, you should know what "Stock" means. DSL specific rules: *Normal DSL realistic rules apply. *DSL 2.1 only. *Glitches are allowed, so long as the realism is kept intact. Match/general rules: *All weight classes including Fleaweight, Featherweight, Cruiserweight, SHW and UHW. *5 rounds per match, 1 point per round. *I will restart matches due to match-altering glitches only. *Robots that cause 3 glitches will be eliminated and given the loss. *All matches will take place in the (possibly re-skinned) combat arena. *All matches will be 2-3 minutes in length based on weight class (FLW - BW = 2 mins, all others will be 3 mins). *I can AI all basic bots, anything odd will require you to AI it yourself. *40 entries max.

With Evo-Bots winding down it's time for a new poll. Vote for what you want to see next!
Red vs Blue [Stock and DSL2, all weight classes] - 2 teams with randomly generated members, each member creates a different weight class for either stock or DSL. For this tournament you could feature every single weight class put forward including fleaweights (100kgs or less), featherweights (175.1-200kgs), cruiserweights (400-600kgs) and ultra-heavyweights (1200-3000kgs) along with all the other weight classes.
Robot Checkers [Stock LW] - 2 teams with randomly generated members, 1 board with the goal to defeat all the opposing teams bots. Bot's are placed on a checkers board and the teams take turns moving bots, once 2 bots make contact they battle and the losing bot is removed from the board this process continues until one team eliminates all opposing bots.

Since my last guide on AI'ing has been lost for ages now I think it's time to redo my basic guide to help newbies get into AI'ing. This is only a basic guide and does not cover everything there is to know, just what you NEED to know to AI basic bots the easiest way possible. Step 1 - The Wiring and exporting: You need to rename your controls to match that in the pic, VERY IMPORTANT!! all letters are case sensitive so LeftRight needs to contain a capital L and a capital R. After you are done renaming your controls head back to the Team HW and export your robot. Step 2 - Moving and renaming your bot: First go to your "Robot Designs" folder and find the robot you just exported then right-click on it and click on copy. Now head into the AI folder and select the team you want the robot to join, it is easiest to start at the very beginning so just go ahead and put it into the "Team0" folder. Once you have moved your robot delete the bot you are going to replace and rename your bot so it matches the file name of the bot you just deleted (Bot0 in this case), VERY IMPORTANT!! you must use a capital B in the file name. Step 3 - Bindings: Finally head back into the main AI folder with all the pictures and find a file named "Bindings.py" and open it with notepad. Now replace the first bot name with your bots name, VERY IMPORTANT!! all letters are case sensitive. Now if your robot has any kind of spinning weapon the next word after your bots name should be Omni, if it's a rammer it should be Rammer. Now go test your robot! if your robot is facing the wrong way either add or remove 'nose':math.pi, and if that doesn't work rename it to 'nose':math.pi/2, and if your robot is invertible make sure your bindings include 'invertible':True,.
Update: How to AI popups, hammers and other weapon systems that use smart zones. Follow the same steps as previously instructed but do the following before you export your robot. Step 1: Download Mad's smart zones and install them into your game, you can download the smart zones here: https://gametechmods.com/Robot_Arena2/Components/MDBsmart-zones_v3.rarStep 2: Place the smart zone where you want to fire the weapons once an opponents bot touches the smart zone. Once placed name the smart zone "weapon" (No capital w). Step 3: Name your burst motor/piston control "Fire" and if you want it to fire when your robot gets flipped you can name it "Srimech", both these control names need capital letters. Now export your bot and follow the steps previously given, make sure the word after your bots name in the bindings.py file is Omni.

So as some of you know I have uploaded my AW chassis for all to use freely to build there own AW's etc. but how do people feel about stripping other peoples bots and using the chassis to build another bot? Should this be allowed? would it be frowned upon?
Having pre-made air-tight chassis for each weight class would make bot building a lot stressful for some and might even increase the number of entries in tournaments and number of new bots shown in showcases. I have noticed some using H.A.N.N.A.H's chassis and don't mind at all, how would you feel if someone used the chassis of one of your bots?
Perhaps a chassis part in the bot exchange could be a good thing?

Description: Bots that evolve! Each member sends a LW, MW and HW, the catch is that the bots must be the same bot type and must be an "evolved" form of the lower weight class (keep the same basic design/look). Think Pokemon but with robots! hybrids would be allowed with up to a maximum of 2 weapon systems, in this tournament both robots will evolve after each round creating a 3 round match between all evolutions. Rules: *Stock LW, MW and HW. *Multi-bots are not allowed. *Hybrids are allowed as long as they only use 2 weapon systems/types and the types must be the same for all evolutions. *All 3 robots must have the same basic design (look). *No Nasty Pickles, Bumble bots, Trinity Flyers, Crawlers or any other cheap robots. *No Venko-style Bumble balls (Cheap Norris style bots). *Robots must show controlled movement and have at least 2 wheel drive. *Standard in-game glitches (such as axle loading) allowed. *No AAM, Hax mode, Trov glitch, BFE or any other nonsense. *No uberstack glitch. *No Cheatbot2. *AI parts are allowed but... *No 140cm extender. *No trying to find loopholes, you should know what "Stock" means. *Best 2 out of 3 rounds using all 3 entries (1 bot per round starting with LW and HW going last). *Double Elimination. *I will restart matches due to match-altering glitches only. *Robots that cause 2 glitches will be eliminated and given the loss. *All matches will take place in the (possibly re-skinned) combat arena. *All matches will be 3 minutes in length. *I can AI all basic bots, anything odd will require you to AI it yourself (for best results, if you can AI better than me I suggest you AI your entries). *Spinning weapons on a SnS are allowed as long as the spinning weapon motors are positioned outside the chassis. *Ramming weapons are anything in a position or at an angle to do significant damage. *16 entries max. *This tournaments AI pack may be released to the public. *Everyone must name their bots like a pokemon evolution family (group/team themed similar names, like my entries for example). ----------------- Entries ----------------- My entries: Entry list: 1. ianh052. Mazakari3. Mechadino4. Venko5. Kurt Wylde6. Wolfsbane7. R18858. GameKing39. Mr. AwesumSauce10. 09090111.Clickbeetle 12.Kill343gs 13.Virus Bomb 14.RPJK 15.Mystic2000 16.Fracture Normal text colour = Have shown interest in entering. Green = Entry received and accepted. With ARBBC coming to an end soon I thought I would put forward some ideas for my next tournament and have you all vote for what you want to see and/or enter. Here are the tournament ideas you can vote for:
1. [Stock] Evo-Bots type 1 - Bots that evolve! Each member sends a LW, MW and HW, the catch is that the bots must be the same bot type and must be an "evolved" form of the lower weight class (keep the same basic design/look). Think Pokemon but with robots! hybrids would be allowed up to a maximum of 2 weapon systems, in this type both robots will evolve after each round creating a 3 round match between all evolutions.
2. [Stock] Evo-Bots type 2 - Just like type 1 except instead of evolving during the match the bots evolve after the match if they win. This tournament would feature a maximum of 3 rounds/8 Entries or we could add another weight class (most likely BW) if we get closer to 16 entries.
3. [Stock] Bizzaro Weight Builder Championship - Like ARBBC except with only 3 bots on each team made up of the most rarely built weight classes, Fleaweight (100kgs or less), Featherweight (175.1 - 200kgs) and Cruiserweight (400 - 600kgs).
