General Support / HELP!!!!!!! Complete Shutdown!!!« on: August 21, 2006, 05:27:23 PM »Quote from: Nitronic755 I cant download the patch due to error 1628: Can't complete installation. Thats all it says. Possibly because I already have version V1.2? I remember something about needing to have a CD in the drive in order for the patch to work...I think download version users have to put a disc in the drive to install the patch (any old disc). 3

Discussion / Immobility« on: August 21, 2006, 01:17:36 PM »Quote from: MikeNCR I could have sworn there was someone on AceUplink a few years ago that had the developer tools because he worked on the game. I can't remember his name right now, and he's been gone for quite a while. Good ol' Blake (Dummy)? If so, I think he made those tools himself, but he did work on the game I believe. @ Kadz, I kinda miss AU as well, although it was a breeding ground for tyranny and dictatorships...but other than that it was a great place. 5

I found by watching RW and BB numerous times each that although I am American, I think british robots (the good ones) are generaly more creative and more effective than American robots...I'll make a comparasin now.
Heavyweight 2 time champ Biohazard, nice design...low profile. Razer, much cooler looking, 9 ton crusher...winner in my opinion. 6
Discussion / Playing with controlers and control panels« on: August 14, 2006, 08:18:27 PM »Quote from: MikeNCR if you want crazy realism, build a replica of an airplain Tx for the controller, pistol grip could work as well, but there is less functionality for some stuff. I use something like that as well...It rocks! 7
Discussion / When the heck is this version going up on this website?« on: August 08, 2006, 09:56:49 PM »Quote from: Clickbeetle That was assuming I would be able to make the downloaded version... but almost nobody replied to my thread, and the people I've contacted said they'd do it but are taking a ridiculously long time to get the info to me. I was almost done with the beta report and then I had to go away for a freaking week in the city (no RA2 here)...I'm coming back on Monday, and then I'll finish that report and send it out. 8

The last post in this topic was from 1 year ago. Just saying. and yes, there is a Chainsaw on rfshq...The late but great Lu-Tze made one that didn't really work too well, but it's as close to a chainsaw as any modder has ever come. 10

Discussion / DSL 2.0 Sneak Peeks!« on: July 28, 2006, 03:55:46 PM »Quote from: Mr. Weedy This isn't a sneak peek to DSL-TC 2.0 but I wanted to give you something before you get totally bored. I AI'ed my Spike Beetle II and it isn't as good fighter as when I'm driving it but it is surprisingly mean opponent even it looks quite dumb when it is moving. You have to choose carefully your bot against it. Yay first download...it's pretty nice...talk about physics explosions. Lol, that's a lot of hinges :o . 15

Ok first thing, you already asked this question on another topic, don't do that, please. Second thing, why would you want another way? you downloaded the patch, and your bro deleted your RA2, you are downloading a new one. so what's the problem, you have all you need. Here's a bit of advice I usualy give to newbies who start out on the wrong side of tippical forum edicut. ALWAYS READ TOPICS AND FIND ANSWERS BEFORE YOU START ASKING QUESTIONS...DON'T BUMP TOPICS FROM LAST YEAR AND ASK A QUESTION THAT IS KIND OF LIKE WHAT THE TOPIC WAS ABOUT. I hope you find this informative and not take this the wrong way...I want to help you. 16

Discussion / Junkyard Arena« on: July 12, 2006, 10:24:58 AM »Quote from: Tygron007 Ok so I didn't look at the date but still it was the top topic that day so technicly not a bump... plus isn't a bump more like when you post in a topic a month or two old and pop it to the top of the page wehen it is ont the 50th or something? The last post was from may...that's almost 2 months ago...and it was like the 5th or 6th one down (this forum isn't really that active, so, there can be some posts that are months old, but still close to the top. I'm just advising you not to do that, people can get more pissed at you than I did. 18
Stock Showcases / Clickbeetle's bots« on: July 08, 2006, 08:10:15 PM »Quote from: SpyGuy Point. Well, said my friend. but stock is usualy defined as without the use of custom components, and nothing else. I have no idea why Mr. Weedy thought that stock meant relistic, because it doesn't...Those bots can't be made in real life, and as Spyguy over here said, practically everything can't be made in real life with RA2...It's not supposed to be...It's nice to try to make things more realistic, but if you don't, there's no penalty for it. Those bots are stock, end of story. 19
Discussion / Junkyard Arena« on: July 07, 2006, 07:04:12 PM »Quote from: Tygron007 ur joking right? a combo of those two? most bots don't do well on the mars arena and the obstical course is too laggy and half of it is messed up (ie: fall through "solid" walkway to an imposibal escape...) But I had that idea... somewhere here... look for it in the arena request or ideas thread or uh the dsl 2.0 preveiw topic... Bump? you havn't learned have you Tygron? I learned not to bump topics like a month after I joined a forum. knock it off. EDIT: Maybe I exagerated a little, it's nearly 2 months old, but still a bump none the less. 20
