Then make a flipper bot for yourself and flip those flipping bastards. =D

Just make sure your flipper doesn't get flipped before you flip those other flippers!

From DSL 2, I like Raptor and Backyard Shredder for looks.

I'm sure you've all tried this, but I thought I'd give it a go.  Here are some bots I've made from the previews in this thread.  They're not perfect, but it's still fun to use them.

Here's a good pic:

Its the one without treads.  Judging by the other previews, this is going to be an awesome replica.

Different wheels probably affect how tight you can turn.  So does the bot's weight.

I sometimes use them, but I usually have at least 2 for tighter turning.

For all the saw skeptics out there...

http://img148.imageshack.us/img148/7365/stockpwnage6uz.png

This is taken about half a second after what I was trying to get, which was the 1500 hit where I ripped off his flipper.  I had to cut off the bottom to get it to upload, but it is about 15 seconds into the match.  1500 doesn't seem like a lot until you remember that this thing can also push around any AI bot it feels like.  The smoke is coming from my drive motors because I accidentally drove into the clamps on one side of the arena.

Here are a few of my favorite bots:

Name  : Pancake
Weight: 209.9
Drive  : 2 TWM3 motors
Power : Two red battlepacks

http://img508.imageshack.us/img508/7861/pancake6hn.png

This is one of the first bots I made in the original RA2.  Now it has been redone for DSL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Name  : Twista
Weight: 795.2
Drive  : 4 Tornado Mer Gearboxes
Weapon Motor: Perm 80 EL
Power : 1 PC545 ; 1 PC565

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/7650/twista4ns.png

This thing is made from stock DSL parts, and it does very well against just about every AI bot in the game.  Except Wheely Big Cheese.
------------------------------------------------------------------

Name  : Colussus
Weight: A lot
Drive  : 4 ZZT Ultimate tek
Weapon Motors: 12 F300 Tornado Motors (From FB's component pack)
Power: 2 Cold Fusion Reactors (From Lut-ze's component pack)

http://img224.imageshack.us/img224/1972/colussus5by.png

Colossus is based off of Duh102's Building Shredder only with more blades.  It is one of my few SHW bots.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name  : Commando
Weight: 1106.4
Drive  : Lut-ze's HP Tank Treads
Weapons: 18 Mini cannons, 1 large crossbow, 2 spinning maces, 2 flamethrowers, and 2 lances on mag snappers (inside)
Power : Modded Darkcell Battery

http://img133.imageshack.us/img133/1518/commando5op.png

One of my coolest bots.  The spinning maces work very well against spinners, and if anything gets on top, they are thrown by the lances.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name  : White T (like the song)
Weight : 312.2
Drive Motors: 2 Slimbody
Weapon Motors: Slimbody
Power : Darkcell Battery

http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/1841/whitet4tq.png

My first DSL bot.  The flipper is to self-right.  Its on a mag snapper.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Fridgy
Weight: Just look at it
Drive: 4 FB Fridgedy Motors
Power: Lots of DarkCell Batteries

http://img103.imageshack.us/img103/9297/fridgy0ye.png

The fuel barrel on the back is on a ridiculously powerful modded burst motor and is used to self-right.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Slice&Dice
Weight: 398.1
Drive: 2 Slimbody
Power: 2 red battlepacks

http://img110.imageshack.us/img110/8931/slicedice1eh.png

I have used this thing against HWs and it still does very well.  It is almost impossible to get under, and does good damage.
-----------------------------------------------------------------

If you want inside or battle pics, just ask.  I hope you like these.

EDIT 4/15 - Added White T
EDIT 4/17 - Added Fridgy
EDIT 4/20 - Added Slice&Dice

Nope, it didn't work.  Should I try using the patch for the downloaded version instead of the CD version?

I have the disk version of RA2, but it should still work.  Is there a way to save my created bots?

Should I just run the v1.2.exe again, or do I have to uninstall RA2 completely?

Everything else in the game works fine.  I have DSL-TC v1.2 with the full version of Firebeetle's component pack, DarkRat Packs 2 & 3, and Lutze's component pack.  My graphics card is a 32MB AGP 3D that came with the machine.  The most puzzling thing is that before I downloaded DSL-TC, the photograph and paint features worked fine.  Below should be a link to a screenshot of what happens.

I found a very strange error right after I installed DSL.  Nothing in the paint shop except importing custom paint has any effect whatsoever.  Also, when I try to take a snapshot of any of my bots, all it shows is a white screen instead of a picture of my bot.  Any advice would be appreciated.  Thank you.
