Can someone explain the control problems? I'd be grinding away at an AI, pinning them against a wall and my controls will randomize for 10-15 seconds, as in they will reverese or up will be left, down will be up... It doesn't happen when I get hit, it happens randomly. Starting to "really" annoy me. x.x

Thankyou! :D I pwned WIIIDE LOAD first 2 times, it seems to go about 50-50 on the W/L ratio, it's easy to get under the enemy and just chip away at them. Is WIIIDE LOAD a HW or a SHW? Cause there are alot of beater bars and drums. O_o 5

Thanks for the download link, fixed the events. =]
I've also come to notice that stacking is extremely easy in DSL, is it allowed or frowned on? 7

As an example, right now I'm trying to attach a 3rd piston in my chassis, but while I'm trying to find the right position it is constantly jumping to unusable attachment points inside the chassis, ones that are againt other parts. Would be useful, but then I don't know how hard it would be to make.

Hm, I'm having another problem with DSL, when I test a bot I go into events and start one up, on some of them I start a match and non of the AI move, 5 seconds later the game crashes. If I reload the game and continue the event it will crash again, forcing me to forfiet the event.. Common problem? =\
[Edit] Also, why the F*** do my controls keep getting reversed!? I'm grinding down a bot and my controls end up going in reverse.. I'd understand it if I got hit but I'm not, it's doing it randomly. Also happens if I go up a ramp or ontop of another bot... ugh. 9

Redesigned Packa Punch
![]() ![]() Doing some more tweaking, but I think I'm nearly there :D:D 10

Thanks for that ![]() I very much like the first and the last one. replace the battlepacks with ants and make Packa Punch invertible. Thanks! :D I'll sort them out tomorrow, I was intending to make it invertible, but didn't really happen. Once Packa Punch is done I will move on to something else. 11

Pretty much my first bots in DSL, probably spent about 20 hours on them all.
I know that some of them are considered useless, but I'm mainly toying around. LW ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Been working on Packa Punch since 9am, it's now 5pm. Mainly tweaking and remaking lol. I'll be making some more at some point, other than a drum bot. 13

Tried another design with the same type of drum.
![]() ![]() ![]() Exactly the same problem as before, turning causes the bot to float onto the side and fail while the drum is on. 15

AGOD. 4 hours sleep, partner is playing FFXIII, back to DSL. =D
Drum bot, I will beat you! 16

I tried smaller wheels, but still had the problem, could it be that the drums are too wide? If they are more inner than the wheels (wheels are further out) would that fix it? o_o
I won't have chance to test it until Friday. Work fail. 17
Discussion / Re: DSL = glitchy?« on: March 17, 2010, 10:20:34 AM »It is close to the ground though, trying to avoid making the chassis too tall. Hmm, I'll toy with it for a little longer before discarding it. Not sure if the other motors will make me happy for a rumbletumble. [EDIT] I made the drums smaller so that they have more clearance, still have the same problem, It's "just" like this video. 20 seconds in. 18

I'll remake it with the drum set a little higher. It is close to the ground though, trying to avoid making the chassis too tall.
[Edit] Thanks for the thumbs up too, I'm taking what I've learned from stock with me to DSL. ![]() 19

Also just realised that the HW wobbles while stationary with the drums turned off.
