The ruler Component should be easy to malupulate and improve. I will work on a complete new skin when i get time.

Great idea about the chassis height slider.
However, im not sure how to go about adding a static graphic to the Slider area.( only show when in phase 2 of chassis build) The backdrop is used over a few screens therefor it would show the ruler in unwanted screens (hope that makes sense).

Another addition to accuracy. (if using stock)

Ive added a line pointed out by the red arrow. moving the slider gives you the minimum height for a z-tek motor :)

Measure line for chassis  fitting a Z-tek

Just move the slider to that line and you have the perfect height!

This is just beta. More time i could add more precise lines with Text!

I guess getting an online game would be dificult to say the least, same version same patch. Hamachi is the way forward tbh :P

Do you guys send each other AI or play live?........live play is laggy as fook over local network so Jeez it must be almost turn based over the internet.

Send it to click, it might be good for DSL 3.

Would edit it to uber prefection if that was asked. It would be an Honor.

Chatterbox / The word "noob"
« on: January 23, 2009, 09:17:14 PM »
Before im fired or sacked about my opinion on this word, I would like to say "with a silent mummbled voice"

"i'm 33 years old and.. ive been around online games from birth" DUKE NUKEM 3D FTW, and the rest is only a guess with experiance!

Anyway.. the word noob.....

This word started off as  "Sorry im new" After a few years it turned into...

"LOL you were killed by some one new"

Hence, (your skills aint doing much here)

next was "you be new" or "are you new"

Eventually the Character that was "new" was recondnised as low skill no matter what game.

This Character is now known as a noob. Popular as this word is now......"Noob" can be used anywhere " what an idiot" what a noob"

thank you for reading this and being even more bored now :approve:

if u see any typos then good for you :) i cant be botherd to correct.

but how do you allign the ruler in the start? lol

Ive edited the "measure" tool and made it a little more accurate and clear,

ORIGINAL

EDITED

I don't find this perfect, however it does help to gain accuracy.

the eye mostly. but what helps is to zoom in while in the chassis tab then switch back to the components tab, and without touching the black square, go pick out your component. once you click attach, you can then go in the black square without it zooming out.

Best tip yet!! works a treat

Thank you.

Hi all,  i'm looking for any tips and or advice on placing components with spot on accuracy. This being very important when placing drive motors and or duel weps.

At the moment i use the measure component. is this the best way or is it down to eye jujment?.

what do you use?

Thanks,  Slip
