And From Ashes isn't really important from what I have read, you can get   a little more support, but from what I have heard, not much changes   based on what you do in the story (in fact, Bioware have had to give   full refunds due to false advertising with the whole 'everything you do   affects the universe', and all I have heard from people at college is   that next to nothing changes (apparently a different coloured explosion,   but I can't tell if that is a joke or not))
Ugh.  Anyone that demanded a full refund from ME3 just because of the ending is a tool, full stop.  Especially since most of these people say they still enjoyed the rest of the game.

Is the ending perfect?  No, but how many endings are?  Everyone that thought that every choice you made through the series to make all kinds of radical permutations off the ending of 3 are/were delusional.

"Saving/killing the council at the end of 1 doesn't change things?"  Oh too bad they say at the end of the first game that they'll replace the council, so you'll have a council anyway.
"Why don't the Rachni matter?" If you save them, they do help you.  They aren't going to swarm over Reapers like army ants, grow up.
"I saved the colony on Feros, FEAR ME REAPERS!" ..... lol
"I gained everyone's loyalty in ME2 on missions that affected only them!  THIS HURTS YOU!"  lolno.
"I saved/destroyed the Collector Base..." maybe this one could be a bit more significant, but eh...

If I'm leaving out any other major choice from 1 and 2 let me know, but think you get the idea.  And then everything in 3 is about bringing the galaxy together (if you choose to) for the final fight.  The idea was to get the ending so that Paragons and Renegades could get to the same basic point even though they otherwise would take vastly different paths to get there.  You do NOT want to deal with the sh**-storm that comes from saying this or that choice should have been Paragon/Renegade to get a desirable ending.

The choices are for YOU as the player more than anything else.

15. Gradius Galaxies - All the fun and hair-pulling difficulty of Gradius in handheld form!
14. Mortal Kombat 2 - I'm absolutly terrible at fighting games, but I love playing this game.
13. Donkey Kong (Game Boy) - Hard as heck, but insanely addictive.
12. Mario Kart 64 - Yeah! The N64 had the best in every franchise!
11. WWF No Mercy - Still the best wrestling game out there.  The N64 wrestling games were the best.
10. Resident Evil 2 – I probably stand in a severe minority that prefers the old style of RE games to the newer ones (namely 4). It very effectively delivers the chilling, tense atmosphere that any good RE game does, though this game does it the best for me.
9. The Godfather: The Game – I never really got into the GTA series and I'm sure I could get all kinds of arguments about how they're "better" games, but whatever. This is another case of flip/flop with the sequel. The sequel did a lot of cool things as well, but it was also a much easier game.
8. Portal 2- An amazing game in all respects. The gameplay is great. The story and characters are awesome. Just can't say enough good about this game.
7. Pokemon Gold – It was tough to pick between this and Red version. I'll give this one the edge since it has a longer story mode, a bunch of good new features like the "real time clock" aspect, much cleaner visual (a bonus for being in color), and a much improved inventory system. In fairness I still mostly used the orginal 151 pokemon over the new ones introduced in this series.
6. Metal Gear Solid 4 – Visually it’s almost unparalleled and you can always expect a deep, rich story from a Metal Gear game.
5. Mass Effect 2 – Both games in the series are great, but now I can look back and say that 2 is better than the first overall. The story is highly immersive, and the replay value is off the charts. Mass Effect 3 can't get here soon enough.
4. Grim Fandango – One of the only games I’ve purchased based solely on my experiences playing the demo. It’s a highly under-appreciated and underexposed game. It has one of the best written stories I’ve ever come across in games I’ve played.
3. Halo: Combat Evolved – Still the most well done shooter (first or third) I’ve ever played. I pick the original because I feel it had the best campaign mode, especially when playing Co-op.
2. Super Mario 64 – It’s tough picking just one Mario game over all the others. Maybe I lean more towards it since I never owned a NES or SNES, and the fact that the N64 is probably the greatest system of all time. This game still holds up as well as it did when it first came out.
1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles – Why aren’t more platformers made today? Hell why aren’t more good Sonic games made anymore. Unleashed was fun, but Sonic's never really been the same since leaving 2-D. Anyway this is still an amazingly fun game even over 15 years later.

Those weren't zombies in 28 Days Later.

Also... Aliens vs. Predator as the reference movie for the Predator?  What.

1. The Godfather: I still consider this the best movie ever made.    At the very least the measuring stick for all other Mafia/Gangster   movies.  The casting was superb all the way around.

2. The Lord of the Rings (Extended Version):   I find its only fair to consider LOTR as one movie since that is   basically what it really is all said and done.  And as good as the   theatrical cuts are, the extended cuts are only better.

3. Terminator 2:   I think of this movie as one of the best sci-fi action movies ever, and   certianly my favorite.  One of the rare instances of a sequal   surpassing the orginal.

4. 12 Angry Men: This movie has   got to have the best character development I've ever seen in a film, and   with 12 main characters, that's no easy task.

5. Gettysburg:   Absolutly my favorite war film (so maybe I'm a little biased towards   the Civil War).  Besides all the well acted characters, its nice to see a   war movie that doesn't need horrific violence to gets its message   across.

6. Day of the Dead: My favorite of the George Romero quadrilogy, and the one I think has the most powerful story to it.

7. JFK: Yeah, so a good deal of it is highly stylized and speculative, its also very thought provoking as well.

8. The Untouchables: Two Kevin Costner films in my top 10? Wierd... Anyway, perhaps my favorite De Palma film (yes even over Scarface).

9. The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974): Humor, suspense, and action blended perfectly in this movie.

10. Toy Story: All three collectively would make a strong case for best trilogy of all time.  I'll give the first a slight edge overall.
