I'm going to work up a new format for the amount of bots I have, I'll still try to keep it teams though.

Well in order to improve your skills you should probably download Starcore V.1, not V.3 at the time. Just look around the forums and people here should be able to give you some useful advice, also check out some other bots people have made to get ideas. Some common things people suggest are just using as much weight as you can within your class and making the chassis as small as possible, yes this means rebuilding the bot a few times but its better in the end.

Maybe I'll just change the format, or perhaps make it DSL since I don't have many bots in yet and that would be more interesting? 8

Yeah, that would work too. I don't really think anybody will care that much if you do that, so its cool with me.

Well sage I guess I could drop out (don't really care that much :)) and you could be with kill? The bots are due by 2/25 now, I'll probably do a tournament with whatever I get by then.

...Well I'll give everybody 10 more days.
ACAMS, you can close this thead in 10 days if don't get more by then. Not many people seem interested or have much time and BBEANS is coming up now, which I know is more exciting. I may try a better tournament in the future, perhaps with DSL since more people use it now. 11

I don't have one at the moment, I wasn't really planning on making one but if you want to then that would be great. :) Working on my bot as well, I'll send you some pictures to see what you think soon.

See, the odd thing is I don't really have the heartburn type feeling. I just sort of a sore throat and its hard to swallow things sometimes, it feels like it doesn't get through the esophogaus smoothly. I'll have occasional chest pain and sometimes wheezing noises so the doctor suggested that she treated me for GERD, not really sure what to think at the moment.
If it becomes necessary then I'll talk to them about it. ![]() 16

Thanks for the support, the thoughts pop into my head but I never take them seriously, or at least I never think about it more than that.
What do they do in the surgery exactly, Does it get rid of it forever or does it just help for a period of time? 17
Chatterbox / Concerned« on: January 28, 2009, 12:20:31 PM »
I think my anxiety and such has caused GERD. Anybody else have something like that? Its nice to be sure what I'm dealing with now but now I'm concerned that it will turn into something bad, even though I went to the doctor and she wanted to treat me for it and gave me pills. I find that food doesn't seem to smoothly get down my throat sometimes and it worries me... XP
Hopefully its just normal Acid Reflux and I just haven't treated it yet so it just got bad... dunno all of this seemed to get better and now its worse again. I don't know why, but my mind likes to drift off into suicide-type things, for the past week or so I have been generally better though and now I'm just back into it. 18

Only 8 or so days left, and I have only received 3 bots. Still just checking to make sure everybody knows about it, don't want to have to push the due date too far back.

Chatterbox / PS3, XBOX360, Wii« on: January 17, 2009, 01:31:28 PM »
I didn't make this thread to argue over which system is best, which is probably going to happen anyways. I think all of the systems have equal pros and cons, I chose the PS3 due to the fact that I have had a PS1 since 1995. Might as well stick with games like Twisted Metal, Gran Turismo and such. I find the Wii to be fun with other people, personally I don't think it would be as much fun by myself. XBOX360 has loads of good games and a low price but you have to pay for online. Each system is clearly made for a different audience.
