Anyone near San Diego?
« on: April 23, 2011, 06:39:07 PM »
I wouldn't mind a good battle!...but stock parts only, please. And don't rage about my mod intolerance, I just feel that mods have a tenancy to unbalance games.

Our DSL 2.1 mod tends to balance the game more than anything... I think you should at least give it a shot.

Alright.

I'm within 1,000 miles of there, if that helps.
If the game isn't superlaggy, I think it will be fine.

That is where you will be very disappointed. :/

Its kinda the opposite of what was asked :P

The trouble with online battles is that there can be quite a bit of inconsistency between hosts. For example, there's a video somewhere of Scrap Daddy, Ounce, and I forget the third participant, and Scrap Daddy's machine was spinning like a top. The video showed his bot edging along the arena wall, but Scrap believed he was moving towards Ounce's bot, which was in the middle of the arena. So you and your opponent could end up with completely different outcomes.

Even more the reason for you to stick around the forums and submit bots for tourneys instead.  Bonus points if you learn how to AI the bot.  Aw c'mon, its fun really! Trust me!
