I know a few fans are on this forum (GRW, myself). Discuss anything about WWE here.

I don't know whether you have heard but The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin are talking about coming back to have one last match. :D

Lol wrestling... what a joke

you should see their latest punchline... WWE dropped it back to a PG rating, so no more blood or excessive violence

WWE was cool back then (and so was WWF).

Nowadays it's just made of outcasts trash-talking each other.
Clash Cubes 1 - Grey Matter (Runner-Up)
King of Karnage - Sideshow Freak (Runner-Up, Best Engineered)
Rust In Pieces - Paper Cut 3 (Grand Champion, Most Dangerous Bot)
Wheely Tag Tournament - Ion Thruster (Grand Champion, along with Ounces' DiSemboweLment)
UK vs USA - Dark Striker (Grand Champion)
Rust In Pieces 2 - Claymore (Runner-Up, Favourite Bot)
BBEANS 6 - Infection 4 (Runner-Up)
RA2 Team Championships - Serious Business, Skeksis (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, and Badnik)
RA2 Team Championships 2 - The Other Stig (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, Badnik, 090901, and R1885)
Replica Wars 3 - Abaddon (Runner-Up, Luckiest Bot)
BroBots - wheebot & yaybot (Runner-Up)
Robo Zone 2 - Dipper (4th place, Survival Champion, & Best Axle Bot)
ARBBC - The Covenant (3rd place, BW Rumble Winner, Most Feared BW)

Hell, it's acting, not fighting ! They just pump up muscles for SHOW and I doubt they learn any realistic techniques.

(and so was WWF).

Actually, I learned my kicks from WWF. I had another source for punches, though. :P

"WWE, the recognized leader in global sports-entertainment"

They call that a sport ? THEY CALL THAT A SPORT ?

Wrestling is a sport, been in the Olympics since 708 BC.
Though the new WWE can't even uphold it's own name- while it was a worked stunt, when Joey Styles quit he mentioned not being able to mention "pro wrestling" (as to sports-entertainment) or "wrestler" (as to superstar) ... the way it's been lately, it's pretty much the honest truth.

What idiot brand won't even refer to it's very foundations by the right names?

I liked WCW / ECW back in its day.. (the real ECW not the horrible rape job WWE did with that name)

And I watched a bit of TNA here and there..(mainly 09 stuff) I think its a better all round promotion.. the matches are usually more entertainment value..

oh and Nary, Sports-Entertainment, while having sports in the name isnt a sport.. its an entertainment product based/ created off an original sport..  ;)

I don't watch it that often, but I do think TNA are actually a better all-around franchise than WWE. However, if you're after entertainment, I've found a small Philadelphia-based indy promotion called CHIKARA Pro. There's no championships that I know of, but there's a couple of big tournaments ever year, such as the King Of Trios Cup, which is a six-man-tag tournament.

I find it funny because it's so random. They have Amasis, a pharoah that suddenly starts dancing for no reason, Player Uno, a retro gamer that can be paused mid-match using the NES controller on his attire, and Chuck Taylor, a heel character that screams like a girl and has an invisible slow motion hand grenade. I'll find some clips on YouTube if you want to see what I'm talking about.

Oh, I know what you're talking about! I've been following CHIKARA since '06 (the Icarus/Jigsaw Hair vs. Mask Match that Commissioner Bob Saget set up was the show that introduced me to the promotion).

Also, Gazea, hate to be the guy that bursts the bubble, but Austin and The Rock both have had their last match. Austin's too beat up to properly wrestle anymore, and The Rock's making too much money from the movies to even think about wrestling.

They kind of are taking the piss. Here is an example, in spoiler tags because I'm not wanting to clutter up the page with YouTube videos.

Second part:

GRW, there is a good chance that Hunter's coming back at the Rumble. With that comes the strong chance that there will be a HHH/Sheamus match at WrestleMania.

Naryar, I really do understand where you're coming from. It is all a show; I usually compare wrestling to a male soap opera (at least the ones on National TV). As for realistic techniques... it's a crap shoot. Some of the moves are realistic, but some are so unrealistic that it bends your thought processes.

Ah, yes, pankration. It's very much dry humping to me, but much different from (and more respectable than) "pro" wrestling.

Actually, I learned my kicks from WWF. I had another source for punches, though. :P

Don't you have some badass ancient martial art in your country ?

No bubble was burst. :P

I heard that they were in talks, though. It would be great if they did but, if not, then it doesn't matter.

@NFX - LOLWUT. That first video is so... random...?
