Every rap song is the same. I can't believe people listen to that crap.

No. I'm mostly talking about today's music. It's all crap. The same goes for television and most movies.

The black album=Classic heavy metal
Load/reload=experimentational, but still very good proper rock music (I die a little when poeple say that the kings of leon are rock  )
St anger=St anger
Death Magnetic=metal, and a very good album if it didn't clip

I'm fairly confident the next metallica album will be even better, the only problem they have that can't be easily fixxxed ATM is james hetfields voice going, although I wouldn't hold it against him as its more age than not trying.

If I remember rightly, Kirk Hammett did mention in an interview that they tried writing solos for the songs in St. Anger, but none of the solos they wrote fitted the songs well enough.
 
Also, I hate most one-hit-wonders, or artists that are immensely popular for a few months, and then just disappear. I suppose that's more society's fault than the artist's fault, but then they shouldn't have been trying to be "trendy" in the first place, because trends today are changing more often than Lady Gaga's stupid outfits.

Anyways, it's sad that so much people are making unenjoyable music these days just for money and fame. Pop, rap, R'n'B, new dance/eurodance... the list goes on.

Hopefully, epic music stays awesome even if done for the money (see Two Steps from Hell)

Any band/artist who sells out. I have never encountered a single instance where selling out makes good music.

Metallica's Black album was decent.  Yes, I bought it.

A lot of the problem with today's rap is that they forgot to put the letter "C" in front of it ... Some of the old-school rap was okay, though, like the original "Rapper's Delight" by The Sugar Hill Gang.  It's today's rap that is mainly garbage.  Some of Flo Rida's stuff is okay ...... not that I always want to listen to it, but a lot better than some of his competition.

I liked Nickelback's "Rock Star" and "Hero."  Haven't heard any of their other stuff yet, so I can't make a judgement call there.

Rap as it self is ok. I even enjoy listen to it when it`s good. I used to be a huge Linkin Park fan. But since Minutes to Midnight they suck fu*king balls. Now they are "playing" electronic pop sh*t. When they "perform" live they just have to put a CD-player on the stage and get the fu*k of. Stupid children say "they just made a step forward", I say "fu*k you".


Lady Gaga - Queen of Mainstreamfu*k. I hope this bi*ch goes as fast as she came. I`m glad we don`t have that huge Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus (or what that chick is called) hype here in germany. but it`s comming.

We had Tokio Hotel. fu*king stupid band which was pushed by the media to succes.

To come back to the gangsterstuff: We have a wanabe gangster called Bushido (Bushido was the first stock bot I fought against and I was happy to beat it) This guy is just stealing music from metalbands without asking but it seems to be a trend to do this, but take a look yourself:

But yeah, I hate Nu-Metal and especially METALCORE. Why nobody mentioned metalcore I don't know, but the lack of musicianship, generic riffs, screaming and total lack of originality can burn in for all I care.

And, yeah, i'll admit to having a soft spot for linkin park (and actually all alt. rock style music) but I heard minutes to midnight and it was yet another generic album in the sea of genricness

I'll listen to some indie rock like British Sea Power Franz Ferdinand (the earlier stuff obviously ) but on the whole I think what is really horrifying is Punk pop. The singing sucks, the instuments suck, the happy happy joy feel sucks and overall it reminds me of puking on a steak (punk is a good genre)
And Risk is horrible. I'm glad they picked themselves up way better than Metallica did.

Insomnia's bearable and quite interesting being a kinda metal/dance hybrid.
Time the beggining's decent and time the end has a brilliant solo.
