Marching is basically like walking and it's a sport and there are music competitions like eurovision so... yeah I'll allow it lol.

I am a wildwater kayaker. But I wouldn't say I 'play' it, neither do I compete in races these days. Just for fun now.

Good point, but being a rockstar doesn't mean you get into competitions and win medals.

I usually get all defensive when someone is like "hurr marching band isn't a sport you don't (this) or (that)" so I must excuse myself.

There are battle of the bands events that rock bands often compete in.
