Post by: Natef on December 21, 2009, 07:31:20 PM
What do you guys use? I used to use iMovie, but I recently bought Final Cut Express 4, but I'm still trying to get used to it.

I use Vegas and Adobe After Effects for the more advanced things but for simple conversions I use Windows Movie Maker.

I actually do all my fancy stuff in flash then convert it to AVI and just stick it into WMM

I have Vega which I am starting to learn but I want to be rather good with it before using it full time, I have made a few videos with it

You just need to get a youtube video converter, google it. I mainly use WMM, I have Vegas, but I have no idea how to use it.

Vegas is an amazing program for editing video. After effects is 10x than flash for eye candy and 100x more powerful and versatile in effect making.

To learn Vegas, use youtube video tutorials :)

I haven't tried after effects but I know flash very well, you can do some amazing stuff in flash if you know how to use it  ;)

I have heard Vegas is pretty good, I recommend Adobe After Effects for video composition and Adobe Premiere for non-linear video editing.

And if you just need to combine a few pieces of material, you can use VirtualDub :P.

Yes, Vegas is very good. I have used it only a few times but atleast I can say that its over 9000 times better than WMM.

Yeah, the current cracks, patches, keygens and whatnot for AE are pretty crappy, I'm having trouble with them too.
Oh, and you mean your Premiere license wasn't pirated? ;)

AE is actually really easy once you do some tricky sh**. You can use any old serial number if you turn off AE's ability to communicate with the internet. Meaning, the program will have no idea whether or not the code is legit or not :P

I actually bought premiere, and I got it for a decent price (at the time I thought all illegal program sites either had viruses, or you had to pay some money each month, but then I found an excellent mostly virus free website, and I use it all the time ex for 3ds max, photoshop, worms game pack, and many more)
