Well my mom got a new computer in 09 and it had a floppy drive... But did you try pressing the little button next to the drive to make the floppy come out?

It's not pluge in, I found it with it jammed in at a garage sale.

How good are you at taking stuff apart and putting it back together? If you search the model number of the drive on google you will probably find diagrams of how the drive is assembled and how the ejector mechinism works. You can take it apart to get the floppy disk out or you might be able to fix the ejector if thats broken.
