Wasn't too bad. I'm more of a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy type of person though.

I've read the first two books and enjoyed them, and I'm currently reading the third.  I'm not sure what to think of the movie after I watched the trailer, but I'm still going to see it.

Looks like it is ok.

I have a friend who really wanted to see it so she read the books first, then I drew her a Chibi of Katniss.

I saw it the first day it came out and I was really pleased with the result. Some might argue it didn't stay true to the book, but you have to understand that if some of things in the book were put into the movie, it would have been cluttered, confusing, and would take away from the main plot. Same thing goes if some of the added in parts of the movie were put into the book. Jennifer Lawrence was supreme (She was in Winters Bone
)
Woody Harrelson was a BAMF as always and Lenny Kravitz finally had a good role. This movie had some of the best child acting I've seen (On par with Super 8 and True Grit) and gets me excited to see how the child acting plays out when Ender's Game comes out next year. Easily 9.5/10.

not really sure about this, to me it just looks like a reworked version of battle royale

I abhor cinemas, so I'd wait for the DVD

I'm not a fan of it by reputation (I haven't personally read it), but my brother has read it and despised most of it and liked around a quarter of it.

I'll stick to harder or more humorous fiction.

Because you're forever alone and have nobody to go to the movies with. :p

But like I said, just torrent it.

Actually, it's more the craning your neck to see a big screen, and all the loud sound. I've been twice, hated it both times

And as much as I hate torrents, I'll see if I can pick one up when I have the time

Battle Royale ripoff.

Heheh. Agreed. There were quite a few elements that were way too similar.

Yeah, I just got back from seeing H.G.  Wasn't too bad.  But, I felt it was drawn out and too predictable.  I've been told that the book is better.

The whole time I was watching it I couldn't stop thinking about "the Running Man".  <3 <3 <3  Going to have to bust out that DVD and watch it for the billionth time.
