I like how people get their threads locked because of other people sh**posting in them! I mean its so much more work to delete the sh**posts and warn the users than it is to lock the thread!

i do that all the time, as long as the thread is trash in itself

I did enjoy reading that book a few years back. I agree, that ending was a sad one.
