All of the robots I built were made from about 90% scrapped RC car parts and I have two tournament wins in open-class events and a runner-up from an RFL-sanction event. It's more about the engineering than where the parts came from, imo.

well its not like we have to give them the roboteer title for that. If you put work into making robots and fighting them sure, but slapping some cut up soda cans on an rc car isnt making a robot. God knows I tried to back when I was like 9 :P
