Poor third party support due to the pointless and annoying gimmick (motion control) and a lack of popular games due to crappy hardware lead to very poor software sales in comparison to the Xbox and PS3. And I knew the 3rd party argument would come up. There are some great games if you dig enough. Last Wii game I bought was House of the Dead: Overkill which was... so much fun.

The wii may have a very few good 3rd party games. Compare this to the Xbox360 and PS3.

RUBBISH. If Nintendo is making money off the Wii, it's more likely it costs $150 at best to manufacture each Wii, sell them to retailers for $200, and the retailers sell them to $250. So, $50 profit for Nintendo (minus shipping costs), and $50 profit for retailers.

Nintendo made a profit on it and it was the most successful console sales-wise of the last gen. Get over it.

Actually no, I'm perfectly healthy, but thanks for the totally unnecessary insult. Assumptions get you nowhere. The Wii was a great business move by Nintendo as it was more affordable than it's competitors and was more family friendly. There are many more families than there are 1337 HXC GAM3RZ like you. I like the other consoles too, I'm not biased, it's just kids like you who think that SPECS = ERRYFIN' AND GMAEZ MUZT B REELISTIC N BLOOD that really **** me off.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that it was the PS3 that made a loss on each console sold, and only recently began to even out. The Wii outsold every home console in it's generation. And saying it has no adult games is just short-sighted. Plus you forgot to factor in Nintendo franchises - if anyone wants to play the next Mario/Zelda/Metroid, they will need the latest Nintendo console. Plus there are things to cater for the needs of people who don't want games that are overly violent or childish, they cater to a lot more markets that just children (despite mainly advertising for families and children), and I am pretty sure that a fair few of those games are (or were) Wii exclusives.

To be honest, you should probably research things before you post about them... also come up with a better argument than 'but it is the Wii and the Wii is sh** and Nintendo is sh** and you are stupid if you actually think this sh** is any good because it is sh**' (I know you didn't directly say those things, but it is really the gist of what you are saying).

As for the WiiU, I reckon it will be like the 3DS, it will start out with not many games, and then there will be a lot of desirable games.

The Wii was a great business move by Nintendo as it was more affordable than it's competitors and was more family friendly. There are many more families than there are 1337 HXC GAM3RZ like you. Specs aren't everything, but when your specs are so poor that game devs don't even bother to develop for your console, you have a problem. On top of that, the wiimote was so insufferably bad that the only game that I ever played that worked with the wiimote is SSBB, and that ignored motion control. And it was still 10x better to use the classic controller.

Why not? Just because your product is terrible compared to your competitors doesn't mean that you're not competing with them. When I first got my Wii I had the choice between a Wii, Xbox or PS3. I chose the wii. Big mistake.

Also, since when does everything have to be perfect on the first try? Not many other consoles had tried motion sensor before the Wii, and it seems to me that they're the only ones who really got it right and got it working. Meanwhile, Playstation failed miserably with their Go (Or Move, or whatever it was called) and people don't really care about Xbox's Kinect. Nintendo is trying to revolutionize and rewrite how games are played by bringing you more and more into the gameplay, while Playstation and Xbox are doing the same old sh**; bringing up the specs and using 2 handed controllers.

atleast the wii doesnt have it;s period every month and die. and actually the controllers are original and fun to use and they show that the developers actually put some effort into it. plus you have accessories that mean you can make the remote into the shape of an actual gun. i doubt xbox's can do that or would even bother to do that if they wanted.

When you're paying £180 for it, I expect it to be damn near perfect first time.
