Surely you won't use a saw on the actual robot right?Other than that it doesn't look bad, a little unconventional, but definitely not a horrible design.
Earlier tonight I threw together a quick, proof of concept "Pile Off Parts" model of the IRL combat robot I am building (12 or 30 pounds, it could go either way, not sure), showing off the wheels, saw blade, etc. (Image removed from quote.)The black/brown thingy under the blade is a cardboard and plastic strut I built to keep the blue tub lifted off of the blade to give a better sense of what it might look like when it is built. The odd looking sheets on the wheels are sander pads thrown on as a design feature. Of course the wheels will also be lower in the back, which will make the chassis higher, so I will have to find a way to keep the blade from scraping the floor (probably with some kind of cardboard or wood strut.)
