Went back to the Fringe in Edinburgh today, saw David O'Doherty, Marcus Brigstocke, Rob Bennet, a load of others, and a cowbow riding a unicorn stick. Got my picture taken with David, I asked where his little keyboard was and he said "She's in my bag sleeping."

I'm not blaming you on speaking your mind, at all. I'm blaming you on blaming smashy so brutally after you were complaining at me for being too blunt to some member I don't remember (i think it was T9 or Jonzu) back then.

I've always held onto a belief that irrationality (which is fairly common with T9 and Jonzu, though the latter is cool beans these days) isn't worth applying aggression, and is instead better tackled by operating different logical systems which would work most effectively with those people. People are often too self engrossed in their own idea of sense that they lose the ability to articulate with people on the internet.

BTW, I've been really impressed with how Jonzu has improved recently, he's generally been much more calm and amiable.

I was thinking 'Well, that's an asshole-ish thing for smashy to say' at the time, so that's what I wrote. I know that I worded it very poorly, so that was what I was apologising for.

And you have a very good memory. That was back just a few weeks after I had joined, wasn't it?

And Jonzu's a nice guy. I think he has been since I joined, but nobody could see it under the fake ragequits or his bawwwww-ing.

I am so sick of RW fanboys constantly squealing about how they're better than american bot builders!

RW bots aren't any better than *representing America* Battle Bots' Bots. I will admit that some of the RW bots are more creative and ingenious than Battle Bots, but that's it when it comes to the bots. A tag team of SoW and Biohazard would be pretty even against a tag team of Razer and Hypnodisc. Even the crappy n00b bots on either end of the pond would be at par with each other.

I gotta say that the one thing that RW got right was the hazards though (that includes the House Robots). The Flipper, Flames, drop zone, CPZ's and The Pit were much more "stay the hell away from" types of hazards, which is how they should be.

Battle Bots' hazards weren't as good.

I know I'm late to chime in on this but I didn't see this discussion till now...

RW was a show for TV that happened to feature fighting robots. Battlebots was a fighting robot competition that happened to be filmed for TV. A US bot BB or current would not win in a UK competition environment and similarly a UK bot would not win in a US competition environment. It always has been two very different but similar games.
