Why does everyone hate Nickelback?

They pretty much symbolise crappy, generic mainstream rock made to produce singles and grab teenage fangirls rather than make genuinely thoughtful and decent music. They're almost as bad as Creed.

I kinda like Pixies, Radiohead, R.EM., Killing Joke, and Sonic Youth from the alternative rock/post punk crowd.
