Defragmenting doesn't free up disk space. It just makes your computer run faster, by taking all the little pieces of a file, and putting them beside each other, so the hard drive can access them quicker.

I have a 640GB HDD split up in 2 partitions, a 2TB HDD and externally a 1TB HDD.
