Yoruichi's also good to play, because of Blue Ability D

Generally on Dark Souls I play Izuru because you can get really, really long combos as his shunpo distance is really small. Plus he's pretty okay at countering. Either that or I play Hisagi for the same reason. Toshiro and Zaraki were also old favorites.

Yes, I bought that game. That was when I wasn't fed up with how ridiculously long they made Bleach.

Wow, I completely mis-understood what Madman said until I read the word 'Bleach' (but only because the game I have been playing recently is called Dark Souls). I still need to work my way through Third Phantom (I think I lost it at some point too...)

Or, a wild random thought, play with a friend locally (or in my case, I play with my dad when I am round his). As a generalisation, online orientated games also have a splitscreen option. Besides, perhaps the people who don't use online aren't into generic FPSs, perhaps they are more into fighters, or RPGs, or RTSs, or Turn Based Strategy, or Hack 'n' Slash, or any one of the myriad of other genres.

Also, what happens when nobody is with you and you can't call anyone? You can play online.

Online is just an excuse to make games seem to have more content. It's the "easy way out" as such.

btw, P.R.O.M.I.S.E. may have multiplayer, it might not (if I can get the engine, it probably will). However, the Story Mode is intended to be 60+ hours, and The Enigma Phenomenon 30+ hours for the more expert gamers (It's gonna be HARD, so it may even hit 60+ hours again). If that's not your cup of tea, there's always Tournament Mode, DeathMatch, Arcade Mode, Practice and the Gag Reels if you're into the impromptu comedy side of things. Then there's the unique Support battle system to figure out the best combinations with, all the characters to obtain, side quests and four difficulty levels. Not to mention you have a whole UNIVERSE to explore (though that may be harder than it seems... I may just include the explored bits, as in the parts where you go near for story purposes)

Now, what were you saying about non-online being only half the game?

You are only experiencing half of the game if you don't have online.

Half is online, half is offline.

Not the case. You need to go and take a stroll in the glorious world of plot, dear sir

You can't walk up to a 90-120+ game and go "You're only half a game" because it doesn't have the option of thrashing some deserving nublet that happens to stroll within your Catchment.
