Well, if people don't like Microsoft, then Apple is the only serious/well known alternative. It's much the same principle as how we ended up with Prime Minister David Cameron.

Why do you think that 85% of viruses are made for Microsoft, even though Apple is rising to meet Microsoft's sales?
It is easier to create viruses because Microsoft is a very vulnerable system
