Lucid dreaming takes practice and perseverance. But do you what you should really try to do? Inducing sleep paralysis on yourself, I've been able to do a few times, and I can easily say its a much more gripping experience.

But seriously, the fact is that if you don't fear your dreams it relieves stress and generally it gets better rather than worse.
