No, really, take a look throughout the entire games top survivor, top PK, richest, etc list, and a consistent theme is formed.

Throughout the games history, there has been a general rule of balance going along the lines of GAU>>Grenade Launcher=Heavy Machine Guns>closely by USAN/Corpse Blaster>Rifles>Pistol>Melee.

This is not balance, its in fact a notable 'to succeed use _" formula, the same type of formula that is generally seen when a class is overpowered in an MMO, etc.

The odd thing is how little is done about revamping this, and other issues that effect the game, like Synchronization.

Looting, Grinding, Clan Activies, Outpost Attacks, Missing Persons, Research, Barricading, Multiplayer Activities, Fair Competition, PvP, Skill Evaluation, Grenade Launchers, Melee, Rifles, Difficulty Curve, Balancing, Boss HP, loot, and difficulty, MMO Gameplay, replay value, Tactics, Multiplayer, The appeal of Single Player, Exploitation,  Admin Pwns goal, quality, Interriors,  knockback, PvE, you, profit margin.

All of the above have 1 thing in common, Synchronization effects them either directly, or indirectly. In every way the game would be immediately better with Synchronization, compared to a barely noticeable, almost nonexistant difference with the addition of new enemies, buildings, etc.

Since I'm certain someone or another will argue with one of the above items, I am now going to post how each item related to Synchronization; Take off your "I am pro enough to do everything alone" hats for half a second, and READ the post as a newbie, or better yet, as a survivor of a zombie apocalypse that would logically not want to do things alone. Read this as an MMO player, where things are intended to be done in groups, and while some things can be done alone, most was balanced towards group play. Read it for what it is, not from the elitist bubble most of us are now in.

Looting; Some players, either for entertainment, or out of the need for mutual protection from each other, however, currently zombies are 'invincible' if they currently don't have you selected, aiming can cause players to be swinging at zombies they are not attacking (for example, I doubt I watched Marv Melee 60 Brutes to death, get hit every time, and live), the wonky way player/zombie AI acts on a non synchronized screen is irritating, and not very conducive to a multiplayer environment, the odd patterns of zombie activity caused by this, makes looting more difficult then normal in Multiplayer.

Grinding; While for many of us, this might be ideal to do alone, some people might feel they work better in groups, or in the cases of weaker newbies, might not even be able to handle the full force of Aggro alone. for the same reason as looting, its inefficient, and more hazardous to group grind though, a diagnosis of how to fix it is also correcting synchronization.

Clan Activities; This generally involves doing things together; unless your having tea parties this will often involve the inner city, and Synchronization is hazardous to the health of the two most obvious activities a clan would partake in, looting and grinding.

Outpost Attacks; Essentially the issue of grinding on a larger scale; since frankly we shouldn't be able to hold off a attack on the outpost alone in the first place. Outpost attacks actually need a complete revamp.

Missing Persons; This is a mission type, that would very logically be done in groups, ever hear of 'search parties'? They are real things that I see people logically using when doing this type of mission, problems arise in the same way mentioned in 'looting' however, in the execution of any group activity.

Research; a Mission type that involved killing/looting the corpses of zombies. The problem here, is that since the intent of our researchers is to kill zombies so they can extract blood, doing this in a team exercise, will create grinding problems, as mentioned above in more detail.

Barricading; Who wouldn't, in larger buildings, want to bring a group to barricade. Remember the 2D buildings that needed 20-30 windows barricaded? Those were probably meant for groups.

Fair Competition; This is a general statement; humans are competitive creatures, we'd see everything from "I bet I can kill faster" to "race you to the fort". Any form of competition is hard to judge due to Synchronization though.

PvP; In every way, this is effected by Synch, if your bullets hit people, if your blade collided with them; how injured they were, where your standing. The list goes on and on.

And lets admit it, its not very fun when someone survives 90 nades, 20 sword swings, 2 clips from your GAU, etc etc. I know its not too enjoyable to see me teleporting around like some kind of Soviet Leprechaun, nor is the mega tank properties of other users very fun, This would no longer happen if we had Synch.

Evaluation of Skills; Clans or otherwise, wouldn't you like to SEE for yourself how skilled other survivors are? video's lie, you can film only the best parts and look epic suddenly. But standing there and watching them dominate doesn't lie, nor would watching them get their ass handed to them. Currently, really evaluating other players skills is a nearly impossible job to accomplish.

Grenade Launchers; a PvP concern, Synchronization makes these weapons...nearly useless if others understand what the crap AI will do. due to its delayed fire speed, I can run circles around someone shooting a nade launcher, hit them 20-30 times, then just hop away.

I'm certain real people know how to lead, computer AI doesn't.

Melee; Do I even need to say it? Who has fought me in the Arena? *surveys Crowd* Who gets killed by me at least 60% of the time, when I'm nowhere near you? *watches only a few people [generally GAU users] drop their hands*. Even if Synch makes my PvP performance better then it probably otherwise would be, its just bullsh**. I'm 90 feet away from people and they die, that really shouldn't happen, and never would if we had Synchronization.

I'm certain most of the people that kill me would have never been slain in a Synchronized fight, Knifes shouldn't have super powers, but they currently do.

Rifles;
Yeah, MadMavi and all rifle users seem to be tanks due to sync issues. :/

Difficulty Curve; If newbies could work together, things would be easier. If WE could WOR together the first day of the zombie release wouldn't have been a world wide disaster, it would have been a balanced world where we needed to loot in parties. I recall admin pwn was looking for a world that the endzone was too hard to play alone; We had that, what we didn't have was the ability to play with other people properly.

Balancing; Boss's are Bullsh**, idk what idiot is going to stand around and kill a boss with 80K HP, but there is a good chance your going to feel like an idiot when you figure out how much time, money, etc you wasted, when there isn't a 100% chance of looting it, or looting anything worth its value when you do.

According to DPS, the GAU 19 needs a bit under 3 minutes to kill a spider boss, and will fire 2050 bullets to do this, based on its DPS.

The GAU 19 is an overpowered weapon, the closest machine gun to it will spend at least double this cost to do the same deed. The spider could be on fire, then it will take longer.

The closest Competitor to the GAU 19 will take more then 2X as long, and more then 4200 bullets, according to DPS calculations, to kill a spider. That is 7 full box's of Ammo for a single zombie.

Obviously boss's are balanced for group play...AWESOME! NOW WHERES MY GROUP??? oh...yeah, I forgot, the cons outweigh the pro's, so I didn't get a party, darn you synch  ::)

The only logic behind fighting boss's is the potential promise of loot; compared to 2D loot, a 100% probability drop, from something that took like 1/20th the time. The Titan, with how stats currently stand, was the last balanced boss, that would change with Synch.

Difficulty: With Synch, everything would become much easier, too easy actually, difficulty could be raised, to put us back in the apocalypse, with a more team friendly world.

Everything listed above goes towards what I recall admin pwn wanting Dead Frontier to be like one day; and so, before we develop the features of the game further, shouldn't we be building the Synchronization up?

We can't even start to balance a game until we know what players are capable of accomplishing together.

Actually, that last statement is a lie, there is ways to start, begin by noticing weapons that dominate the world. Its too easy to notice a tendency for certain weapons to triumph greatly over others in balancing.

One such case of these weapons being Grenade Launchers (I'm not even going to try to debate the GAU-19 with all the immediate "we payed 300 dollars???? bullsh** I'll be spammed with).

If you watch both Top PK and Top Survivor, you'll notice the winner usually has a XM25, or a GAU-19. Usually both.

This puts the balancing of the XM25 and the GAU-19 in question, but due to the pricetag, I'll ignore the GAU-19 and save myself a lot of pissed off people.

When a weapon or class is consistently seen winning something; its time to re-evaluate its strength, the same is true for if an item has stopped being used (like the Chainsaws). I'm curious to know whats allowed the Grenade Launcher to get away with an irrational lack of Balancing for...so long.

Surely it doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize if its consistantly used, it must not have enough drawbacks.

What are its drawbacks? We have Ghost Ammo, and if your a gold member, I can't finish a single loot trip where I don't pick up at least 1000 grenades. Thats 8.5K grenades a day, and I don't see it as likely I could use more then that unless I was going for TS. More or less 8.5K nades would cause me to have saved a Vast amount of money on my grinding, and with a DPS almost as high as the GAU-19, you've probably also cut a huge distance towards your goal in little to no time.

I need someone with a good voice to be able to help me. Someone who can exaggerate the words in the correct places, doesn't trip over words, doesn't speak too fast and always remembers that full stops mean you can breathe.
