i agree with Nary here. i don't understand how people can think suicide is an answer to a problem. all it does is create more problems and makes people sad.

Because IMO you can find a meaning to life by yourself, and live by it.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Nar, but there is no meaning to life. There is no purpose, fate, destiny, anything like that. The only reason any of us are here is to have enough sex so our species doesn't die out. To be honest, I'm quite glad I figured this out early on, because I can actually have some fun with my life instead of worrying about it all the time.

@NFX - That's true but people still fill certain purposes in life. Our goal isn't only to do that, but to help our species. People do this in many ways like reproducing, leading us (e.g - Queens, people of authority) and so on.

Anyway, I got sent home from school today because I am ill. Really ill.

There, your post means exactly what I said: you have a meaning to life (life's only meaning is only life itself, e.g. reproduce and thrive) AND live by it (have some fun without bothering about it)

Unless one is terminally ill or in some such similar situation, killing oneself seems like a waste. Bad sh** happens. It's up to all of us to counter that and make sure that our own lives are satisfying. There is no chance at improving if one kills him/herself. Besides, why end it on a bad note when one can end it while in a state of happiness?

There were times when I thought about it.  I never really had the guts to do it, and probably because I was just being a sad sack most of the time. 

As for the matters of today, I am sick (as I figured I would be) but I'm still at school.  Thank god no teachers have wanted to do anything today.
