So for my government class we have to take a side on whether or not god exists by writing a report.
I took the side against the belief of god, while about the rest of the class took the side for a belief in God.

So, here's what I got so far, I'll so what u guise think of it:
Throughout the middle ages, there was a rapid decline in progress for humanity in Europe. This decline was caused by religion. Religion playing a major role in this decline, and the small other percentage being the black plague. People feared that God would strike them down for even thinking that he didn't exist. Europe was in a state to where a big majority of the population was illiterate, and needed high-priests to read the Bible for them. This type of decline in progress kept on until the Great Enlightenment and later coming Renaissance. I don't want America to decline into that sort of state. I've seen and heard ignorance throughout this school and throughout the streets of (insert my town) talking about how there is only one God and that created the universe that is omnipotent, and all knowing. Fallacies such as these make me sick. It makes me sick knowing that ancient practices such as a belief in a deity are still running rampant throughout our society. You'd think by the year 2012 that people would start to question the dogmas of religion of religion several hundred years down the line. But they don't because back in the middles ages, even stating something that could be suggested into being a disbelief in God would get burned at the stake for heresy. We're not in the dark ages anymore people. If history tells us anything, it's that it repeats itself. I don't want this to happen again.
Most people my age seem to believe in God because there parents said there was an all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful, omnipotent creator. Because kids are easily conformed to thinking something, it isn't that hard to get them to believe in something that would seem like a complete logical fallacy to any right minded individual today. Religion's sole purpose, isn't just to swindle people into believing in God, it's also to swindle people out of there money. How many of you that sided for the belief in God have given tithes before ? (and then all of them will say yes or some sh**) if you answered yes, congratulations ! your hard-earned cash is now going into the pockets of clergymen, priests, pastors, rabbis, or whomever is high-above on the chain of your church or place of worship. But it's ridiculous though. Why would God need petty mortal money ? God doesn't need money if he's all-knowing and all-powerful, so..where does the money go ? Like I said, it goes to the people that run your religious institution. And its sickening, just plain sickening how good people can robbed by con men preaching the word of God. I myself know this first-hand because I went to my church's head meeting place, and the high-priest didn't have a job ! You know what his "job" was ? spewing completely illogical fallacies right into out faces, with that snarky grin on his face that all businessmen do. Then it hit me; it my thirteen year-old self right in the face like a train-what if this guy's lying ? What if he's just stealing money from us ? So I looked up Atheism on the internet, found books such as the great Charles Darwin's The Origin of the Species, and Richard Dawkins The God Delusion. Then I completely renounced my faith in God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.
That is why I am against the belief in God.

hey bro, I read this and i think it is interesting, but some of your arguments need to be reviewed.

(What ? It's not decline in progress, it's STAGNATION in progress for most of the middle ages. The original decline were caused by the barbarian invasions of Latin Europe, not that the roman empire was any better at the moment...) This decline was caused by religion. (Explain why are these fallacies. You can't just come and tell "these are fallacies" without any logical reasoning) It makes me sick knowing that ancient practices such as a belief in a deity are still running rampant throughout our society. You'd think by the year 2012 that people would start to question the dogmas of religion of religion several hundred years down the line. But they don't because back in the middles ages, even stating something that could be suggested into being a disbelief in God would get burned at the stake for heresy. (Or maybe they don't because they were raised that way and don't want to question themselves ? Or they hope for paradise ? Fear is not the only motivator) We're not in the dark ages anymore people. If history tells us anything, it's that it repeats itself. I don't want this to happen again.
Most people my age seem to believe in God because there parents said there was an all-knowing, all-wise, all-powerful, omnipotent creator. Because kids are easily conformed to thinking something, it isn't that hard to get them to believe in something that would seem like a complete logical fallacy to any right minded (Note that"Right" doesn't necessarily mean "logical") individual today. (God doesn't, the church needs it. Consider church and mass as a recreation system. Churches do probably have a positive morale effect on the people of a religion, even if the philosophy behind it is nonsense) God doesn't need money if he's all-knowing and all-powerful, so..where does the money go ? Like I said, it goes to the people that run your religious institution. (That need money to survive. You could make a point against religion on this though.) And its sickening, just plain sickening how good people can robbed by con men preaching the word of God. (But if the guys preaching the word of god BELIEVE in god, they aren't con men. You sure the guy doesn't believe in god ?) I myself know this first-hand because I went to my church's head meeting place, and the high-priest didn't have a job ! You know what his "job" was ? spewing completely illogical fallacies right into out faces, with that snarky grin on his face that all businessmen do. Then it hit me; it my thirteen year-old self right in the face like a train-what if this guy's lying ? What if he's just stealing money from us ? (Is it stealing if the people give of their own free will ? Is it stealing if they pay for entering in a church, like is it stealing if people pay to enter in a park ? Remember, the definition of stealing is taking a man's money against it's will) So I looked up Atheism on the internet, found books such as the great Charles Darwin's The Origin of the Species (Note that Darwin was a Christian. He just was probably against creationism, as it was dogma back then), and Richard Dawkins The God Delusion. Then I completely renounced my faith in God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit.
That is why I am against the belief in God.

Now I am all for the killing of the idea of god, but still, just some food for thought.

When usually, I play a game, I just get 1 squeaker and 2 micless people. Tanks blow me up the second I spawn, My Missiles from my Stinger always miss and I die in 2 bullets while the enemy dies in about 7.

I think my Dynamics teacher is a little bit odd. Here is a question from today's lesson.

"If a small girl is hit by a car at 40mph, she has a 20% chance of survival. If the same girl is hit by the same car at 30mph, she has an 80% chance of survival.

What are her chances of survival if she is hit by Usain Bolt?"

well if usain bolt travels 100 meters in 9.7 seconds, then uh, you'd make a proportion.. ?

I felt exactly the same when I first played it, just get used to it, it gets a lot better. Get in helicopters whenever you can.

You're doing better than I was. I consitently got 1-20ish per game.

Usain Bolt isn't a car, therefore the scale of survival rate won't be the same

Because Usain Bolt weighs as much as a car.  But more to the point, yes your dynamics teacher is a little bit odd.

She needs to learn kinetic energy depends on MASS.
