This isn't something that someone else can answer for you. Everyone follows their own path at some point in time and it is on this path that you find the answer(s) to your question. Almost everyone wants to make their life mean something. However, you need to ask yourself what do you want to be known for? You don't have to be good at something to make a difference.
Do you want to be the person that is recognized by name or a nameless somebody? Everywhere you go, you see plagues in honor of someone but it is rare to recognize a name that is older than X number of years. My point is that it is unrealistic to strive to be a recognized name. People that we recognize do not try to be recognized. For example, Albert Einstein had no intention of being a name that people recognize but he managed to make his life mean something to people. Actions speak louder than words.
