Hey, I just wanted to know if there are any easter eggs is RA2. If you happen to find or know one, please tell.
-
If you name your robot "cheatbot2" you get access to some hidden components.

if you go into the "Sounds" folder and then the subfolder "Announcer" you'll find a ton of unused announcer quotes like "That bot was Chicken Littled!" and "I should've brought some marshmallows to this cookout!"
-
Lol, hearing that dude without the background sounds in the game is so weird. And ya, those misc sound files make him say some pretty weird stuff.

i think it's under easter eggs, in I think DSL TC, idkl about starcore however
-
OH GAWD. I just saw them and now i understand what you meen by stoner drawn images. Though, i must say that the "lifted" dude who drew those is pretty good at photoshop.

If you make a robot with EXACTLY 64 small battery packs, name it "hey ervyone whats up gamboys", then press Alt + F4, you will gain access to the hidden supershine feature.

-
There is a picture of Gary Coleman hidden in tournament rewards.
-
Hey, sorry I'm a bit late but I remember a folder called "dsleastereggs" in the "Components" folder that includes Ronald McDonald destroying a city and other weird things. Dunno if that's what you were talking about with stoner drawn images. Also, the 64 battery thing... Is that a joke or an actual thing?
-
Its an actual thing. Its my favourite easter egg in game
-
yep, 100% true. Supershine is such a boss feature, I can't believe you guys have never heard of it.
There's also an image somewhere in stock's files of a black redbird-like motor. I CBA to dig it up but my brother found it ages ago. idk
-
Cool it sounds good. I'll try it next time I'm on RA2.
The small battery packs are the pink batterys from stock, aren't they?
-
yes.
-
hmm. not sure if ur serious or kidding.
-
I'm 100% serious, you should try it.
-
These guys 2funny4me. It was amusing first time but...
No, it's not true. Any 'easter egg' that requires doing something in-game that isn't just typing cheatbot2 is probably a lie.
-
dammit craaig why you gotta ruin my fun :V
no but for real in ra2 versions before 1.3, if you exited the bot repair screen and came back, your time would reset , effectively giving you infinite repair time.

You're the guy getting angry at Nar over the way he treats new guys, then doing that :P
-
there's a difference between joking (especially when the thing's been around for the entirety of RA2's life span) and muting people for dubious reasons. :V
still, i'll stop now.

Actually this is true. I remember reading about this on an official cheat page (I was on playing it for a month).

I think we all discovered the DSL2 Easter Eggs at some point skulking round the folders. There was something to do with Spongebob and Ronald McDonald in there. There are also unused parts from the AceUplink Battlebots mod, like the Dr. Inferno head.
