Hooray, a thread about Red Dwarf. Anyone watching Series X tonight on Dave or just enjoying all the old episodes?

Just watched a new episode. It's okay but more poorly written than the old stuff.

I thought it was pretty good, just relieved they didn't make it rubbish. The moose bit made me laugh.

I have to say that I had major doubts about whether this would be any good, but both me and my mum thought it was rather good.
Yes that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense.

I'd settle for one Christine Kochanski and a couple of scutters. Anyone else notice the total absence of a Holly? Read on Wikipedia Norman Lovette got messed around and wont be in the new series which is a shame.

This new episode was good, i'm not sure about the sneak peek they showed for the next episode, however.

I liked it.  Though the 21st century CGI seems a bit out of place, I prefer $2 budget effects of the early series (like model shots)  But as long as they're not doing "monster of the week" I'm good.

Also, does anyone else miss Rimmer not being able to touch things?  I thought it was clever how they always worked around that in the earlier series, how he had to contend with the skutters doing it for him.

The new set is bollocks compared to the old one. I miss the Skutters too.

Indeed, moar skutters. However, I did like the more relaxed feel in this one. Also, every single actor on there is definitely 'getting on' to the extreme. I mean, come on...Danny John Jules is beginning to look like Tommy Lee Jones did ten years ago.
