Post by: Badnik96 on October 04, 2010, 04:41:50 PM
Who here has a RC rock crawler or has seen one in action? It's actually pretty cool. I have one of these:

:O this topic has to be more popular

This is the kind of R/C that claims my money and time over robots ATM

Currently I am bidding on a second truck on eBay and a pile of parts to build a 3rd :P

I almost got into this... Then I was bitten by the "robot bug" and that money hole of a hobby keeps me out of the money hole known as RC racing. :P

I was never a big fan of Nitro trucks... I always liked electrics. I felt like you couldn't do as much with the Nitro ones except jump them off of BMX ramps in your backyard.

I never bothered with Nitro...

No need for it

Traxxas Nitro Stampede is clocked at 60mph top speed

Traxxas VXL Stampede (brushless electric) is clocked at 65mph to speed

I just brought the Brushless  ESC and Motor for mine and also a pile of bits to start building one of the 4x4 chassis..

What i do love is realistic crawling, however. I had an out of the box crawler when i was younger. If I had the money now I would build a crawler myself.

Been putting a ton of work into a scale crawler this summer. Just finished the body (took a whole weekend to paint and sticker) Will post pics soon.  Thinking about getting an Axial, but I already have a few too many RC cars at the moment.  Sold my pan car and an old buggy via eBay recently to put money into the crawler project.  :D

Wow Joe, those look awesome...

I've been thinking of getting a Traxxas Slash for a while now. But every time I try to buy one other hobby eats my money...
