I almost got into this... Then I was bitten by the "robot bug" and that money hole of a hobby keeps me out of the money hole known as RC racing. :P

Post by: kill343gs on January 05, 2011, 11:08:39 PM: I was never a big fan of Nitro trucks... I always liked electrics. I felt like you couldn't do as much with the Nitro ones except jump them off of BMX ramps in your backyard.

Traxxas Nitro Stampede is clocked at 60mph top speed

Traxxas VXL Stampede (brushless electric) is clocked at 65mph to speed

I just brought the Brushless ESC and Motor for mine and also a pile of bits to start building one of the 4x4 chassis..

RC crawlers would kinda work with giant blades on there wheels IMO....................They're slow lol.

Just finished the body (took a whole weekend to paint and sticker) Will post pics soon. Thinking about getting an Axial, but I already have a few too many RC cars at the moment. Sold my pan car and an old buggy via eBay recently to put money into the crawler project. :D

eBay is a cheaper way to get into this stuff :gawe:
