A sad day for the electronics industry.

At least he copped it at a high, economically, I guess.

I'm just saying that you should generally respect deceased people (especially if he/she did nothing wrong to you)
You wouldn't go into the obituary section of your local newspaper and start drawing devil horns and Adolf mustaches on people's faces.
I would. :P

They're dead, who gives a crap?

(unless you go all WBC and start picketing their funerals and/or attacking their families)

To be fair, there weren't too many things sad about Steve's death.  He was a billionaire, he'd just retired from a huge electronics company, died of natural causes surrounded by family and friends.  So I have to wonder why random people off the street are grieving.  In hindisght, I didn't know that iJustine a creepy stalker Jobs fangirl, so I guess it's justified for her to cry.  But everyone else should really just be indifferent.

Well actually they are very successful trolls, so they must be charismatic enough to annoy people so well, and they must be cunning enough to find the right words, so nope GF :P
This. Wesboro are the epitome of trolling. I kinda look up to them.

And my only complaint about the EqD post was that it was not pony related, yet some people were mad at me for saying that. Why?
im just waiting for meganerdbomb to come along and kick things into gear.

Because when a fandom grows too big, you are about to get every kind of ponies in it.

I'm pretty sure Apple will just shut down in a year too.
Apple has essentially been run by Tim Cook (the current CEO) for the past couple of years. They're not going anywhere, especially not with the massive bank account they have.

I couldn't be any happier, now it's Linux's turn to rise as the new computer phenomenon. (highly unlikely, but a guy can dream, can't he ?)
It's time for an open source platform to take the place of a tech company that spans across various forms of media, computers, phones, and portable media players?

@craig
I have an ipod, that's the only good thing they made imo.
Also, there computers are uber expensive, and they only have like 5 gigs of ram.
What I don't like about Enigma is that he only ever posts in Greek. Facts be damned.

Yes. He's a lovely Ewok who rides around on a Segway. His engineering tallent, combined with Steve Jobs' vision for what a computer should be, is what got Apple its name in the early days.

Then there's this guy, who contributed far more to the area of computer technology than Jobs ever did, but no major news network even bothered to report his death.

Just saw a "documentary" on Steve Job's life.

I have never seen so many people kiss a dead man's ass so hard in my life.
