Title: Mythbusters Discussion
Post by: trumpetguy on November 26, 2009, 11:28:29 PM
Yes that science show, I have been a fan for a while....like 4-5 years. Mythbusters is also really inconsistent when releasing episodes and seasons, because the tests last pretty long.

Yeah its a shame it takes sometimes long for a new episode, but that doesnt change the fact that they = win!

Yeah, Grant Imahara did. Jamie made Blendo, who was co-champion of the U.S. Robot Wars, because it was too destructive.

I think Adam had a robot too, before the show started, but I forget what it was called.

I believe Jamie and Adam built Blendo.

Can you tell something of Tory's Robot? Or was it Grant's robot?

Grant built Deadblow (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadblow) and helped rebuild R2D2 for the prequel trilogy. To my knowledge, Tory was never involved in robotics.

They already did that, last season I think, was cool pretty cool. I quess you are watcing it on TV? I download them all with torrents, you get them as soon as someone uploads it, wich is right after its aired for the first time.

Its a shame that they are doing Busters cut versions of previously shown episodes currently in season 8. They are basically reruns of previous episodes with some material that were not shown last time with buster popping up with some fact boards every now and then.

Me want to see new myths, not old ones :(

I wouldn't clasify it as a science show. If any thing, it's an "alternitive" type of show.

Mythbusters is sort of an intro to basic scientific experiments. They don't always follow the Scientific Method, nor do they always do it right, but the show is still based around science. Saying the show is more in the alternative genre doesn't make sense as it doesn't mean anything.

By alternative I meant what you said. They do expierements but never do all the nescesities for it to make sence.

Best science show geared towards teens and adults, maybe. Best science show for children award would have to go to Bill Nye.

Bill Nye went to my university for grad school.

So instead of saying what I said, you decided to throw out a word that meant absolutely nothing (given the context).
